This research project is based on Gender equality and diversity in working environment. The report
will consider information about the ways, strategies and methods of creating equality and removing
diversification. Along with this several challenges are also defined that are faced by organisation
cause of diversity.

 To investigate the impact of equality and diversity in the workplace.
 To explore effect of discrimination in gender at work place.
 To research different ways in which business deal with discrimination and gender.
5. Justification of the research

The main reason of carrying out this research is to identify that how can leaders and managers
effectively bring gender equality in the workplace and how can different discrimination in gender be
eliminated from a working environment. In context of this research the researcher can consider such
question like effects of equality and diversity in the workshop, effect of discrimination and different
ways in which business deal with discrimination and gender.

Introduction to methodology and approach adopted
Research methodologies and approaches refer to those tools and methods that are used by an
investigator in term of performing a research project in more effective and efficient manner.
Quantitative methods – It emphasize objective measurements and the statistical, mathematical and
numerical analysis of data collected through polls, questionnaires and surveys or by manipulating
pre-existing numerical information utilizing computational tools.
Qualitative methods – It mention to those methods and tools of research that are used to collect and
gather theoretical information by with the help of observations, interviews, textual and visual
analysis.

There is a total of 50 respondents taken for the following report who all are working for Sainsbury. The
sample population which is selected for the following report I done on the basis of a random sampling
method which is the method under probabilistic method
