INTRODUCTION
Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity is a book by the philosopher
Judith Butler, in which the author argues that gender is a kind of improvised performance. The
work by author is been influenced by feminism, women studies, lesbian and gay studies. The
idea was been taken on the basis of queer theory and the advancing of dissident sexual practices
during the 1990’s. Butler has also provided with the gender theory. It gives details about that
gender is essentially a performance related to repetitive actions which is been done by both
males and females. The author has argued upon the human nature of objectifying other gender.
The author has explained and argued that gender is a kind act related to improvisation of
performance
MAIN BODY
Feminism in an identity has been used by author to have deep understanding and insights
about the different role of gender and their identities. The author has explained about how men
and women can be different and have separate thinking and perceptions. The author has argued
upon that every gender has unique personality and no other human being has right to objectify it.
They must be involved in giving respect to thoughts and values related to other persons. The
author has also explained that if something wrong happens with women or woman, the other
women must be engaged in supporting them through odds and evens (Morgenroth and Ryan,
2018). The author has also provided the information and argued that if women are wrong and is
doing all the unwanted activities for gaining fame than no support needs to be given. This is the
concept of feminist identity. I have realised that Everyone of should be engaged in changing their
own mind and perceptions. Butler has also criticised the central attraction related to feminist
theory. The author has explained that for her women and woman are different. They are been
divided on the various factors like class, identity, ethnicity and sexuality.
She has also argued that sex is biological while the gender is been created on basis of
culture. The author has provided her full support to the queer theory and has criticised the
feminist theory. Feminism according to me can be defined as the social and political movement
in order to achieve social equality for all sexes. The author has provided the facts that if the
woman or women are wrong than no support needs to be provided to wrong. Justice must be
made on the basis of all facts and figures. The culture has created these differences between male
