Introduction
Despite the tremendous advancements in technological knowhow as deployed in solving the
different problem faced in the modern society, India still remains heavily relying on coal as an
energy source. Other than the United States if America and china, India tops the lists of the
largest world’s producers and consumers of coal energy. It is estimated that up to 193, 426. 5
MW of the total amount of energy produced in India which is about 58.7% is generated from
coal (Reddy, 2012). The greatest coal steam fires in the world have been found to be in India.
Following the rising need to conserve the environment and the associated pollution effects of
burying coal, the government of India finds it important to come up with alternative mechanism
that are environmental friendly as well as reliable. A team of scholars has been set up to help the
country with identify the number existing solar plat fives.
