INTRODUCTION Global business environment is generally a platform for businesses of various countries for conducting the business operations and activities within the international level. A company which runs its activities globally, then present factors of international business environment can always affect to that company in both ways, negatively and positively (Josey and Moore, 2018). This report discusses the global business environment of Marks and Spencer (M&S). Marks and Spencer company is the UK’s most popular retail business, headquartered in England, United Kingdom. There are PESTEL analytical framework has been fully used below to M&S for knowing which factors can highly affect in the international market. MAIN BODY PESTEL Analysis PESTEL analysis is too important tool to various businesses in market, and this PESTEL tool can supported to Marks and Spencer’s top-level management for identifying such factors which will highly impact its business activities when this company will be expanded its business activities globally. Political factors Political factors can affect to business activities of Marks and Spencer, when this company will expand own operations globally. Currently governments in most countries easily gives licence to those companies which are able to generate excellent job opportunities, so upper management at M&S have to generate produce excellent employment opportunities while expanding business operations internationally. Economic factors Economic factors also will impact its existing activities of business. For example; nowadays the UK’s conditions of economy are negatively impact to Marks and Spencer, because
this nation currently hasvery poor conditions of economy, so if Marks and Spencer will be expanded its business within that nation which has well-developed economy, then company will be able to gain excellent profit margins within that nation. Social factors Social factors of the new country within the global market will be affected to Marks and Spencer to work in social welfare, because many of people in most countries very like to consume products from businesses which already has taken steps to work in social welfare (Katsikeas, Leonidou and Zeriti, 2019). Technological factors Technological factors can very positively affect to Marks and Spencer in the global market, because nowadays such all-digital technologies exist in market which can be contributed in developing productivity of company. Environmental factors These environmental factors will be impacted to upper management within Marks and Spencer to do not conduct that practices within its business activities which can be negatively impacted to the natural environment.
