INTRODUCTION Global business environment refers to the tool that is related to the environment of the different countries with external factors of the home environment of the business organization that will influence the decision making or the use of resource and their capabilities. It is based on the high level competition when the company trade internationally. It inculcates that the global business produce the high quality products and sales at the low cost so that they will able to attract the large number of customer base. This report is based on the Waitrose that is one of the largest supermarket stores in the UK. They generally deal in the groceries products since 1904. This report is based on analyzing the strength and weaknesses of the firm and what opportunity and threat they will consider on the basis of previous coursework 1 PESTLE analysis. it also showcase the impact of drivers of change on the various functions of the organisation so that company will enhance their sales and profits and also sustain in the market for a long time period(Barac and et. al., 2016). MAIN – BODY SWOT ANALYSIS SWOT analysis refers to the study of the business enterprise that will helps in analyzing the internal strength and weaknesses and also showcase the external opportunities and threats that a company will face. In this internal framework can be controllable by the business venture but the extrinsic framework is not controlled by the organisation it is uncertain. In this manager of the Waitrose can make a SWOT analysis top know the internal and external approaches that will affect the business enterprise and their success so that they can make corrective actions to reduce the weakness and overcome from the threats. It can also use to grab the new opportunity so that form will earn high amount of profits and revenues. The SWOT analysis can be shown below(Kasemsap, 2018). Strengths The major strength of the Waitrose is that they can follow the proper employment laws that will retain the employees and provide satisfaction in their mind due to which they work effectively and gives the productive results to the company(Dubey, 2016).
The major strength of the firm is to hire a new and skilled labor at low cost that gives the productive results to the company and attracts the large base of customers. Weaknesses The major weakness of the Waitrose is that they mainly focus on the supply of groceries and other goods without focusing on the people health and their trend follow. as in UK peoples are more aware about their health and prefer to buy organic food that is not supply by the firm. Opportunities The major opportunity that a Waitrose can contain is the technology advancement that showcases the enhancement of production and operational functions so that goods can be produce in an effective way and attracts the large customer base. Another opportunity for the Waitrose is that they contribute more on CSR practices and focus on reducing carbon footprint this will create a great opportunity to attracts the large customer base and earns a high amount of profits(Gaspar and et. al., 2016). Threats The major threats of the Waitrose are Brexit that was occur in the UK and because of the trading policy of the company may affect and also profit margin and revenues structure also affected in an negative way. KEY DRIVERS IMPACT ON FIRMS FUNCTIONAL AREAS Organisation function is the tool that set the activities that is carried out within the departments of the company. In includes the various function like operations, human resources, marketing, production, information technology, customer service and many more. It includes production department and human resource department below that showcase the changes that was consider as per the drivers of change present in the environment(Doh, Luthans and Slocum, 2016).

Marketing and Research department - Themarketing and research department of the Waitrose Company can be affected by the drivers of change that was related to the change in behavior of the customers. At this time research department can research the whole market and then marketing department can promote their new products as per the customer demand by using advanced technology like digital marketing so that they will attracts large base of customers. This helps in attracting more and more customers and due to which the firm increases its sales and profit margin. In this both the departments can use the advanced technology to fulfill the customer’s demands because customer satisfaction is the main aim of the company. Human resource department –The Human resource department of the Waitrose can work for recruiting, hiring and appraising the employees’ so that they will work effectively and efficiently. as per the changes taken place in the external environment many local people are unemployed due to this HR manager can recruit the candidates and select the skilled and knowledgeable labor so that they gives the productive results to the company. In this they can also provide the benefits to the existing employees as experienced one get promoted so that they will get motivated and helps in achieving the task and earns a high amount of profits. in this they can timely apprise the employees so that business can be grow and achieve the new heights in the marketplace(Keegan, 2017). CONCLUSION From the above report it is to be concluded that the global business environment place an important role in the business. This factor affects the overall growth and success of the firm and also ensures the sustainability of the business venture in the marketplace. It can examine the SWOT analysis that shows the internal ability and capability of achieving the objectives and earns a high revenues and growth in the marketplace. This SWOT is based on the Pestle analysis that gives the external factor criteria on the basis of which internal factors can be affected of the company. It can also suggest the changes that were taken place in the marketing and human resource department of the organisation that was based on the key drivers and the external factor. This will helps in attracting the large base of the customers and retaining the employees for a
