INTRODUCTION
Global events are run out by international industry that organise different types of
programme and events which attracts people and maintain a good image. It is important for
business organisation to manage their functions and events as well. It mainly focuses on
exhibition and conference which provide information at level. All events are organise by a
planner or manager who organise the events as per their clients. To understand about Global
events International Confex has been taken that is UK based company organise events for their
customers and others successfully (About International Confex, 2019). It organise public,
corporate, wedding and private events at large scale. This report covers information such as
factors which can influence the diverse events, impacts of the events on environment which are
responsible for event development, impacts of macro environment in global industry that
influences decision making of business (Mendelsohn and Saher, 2011).

P1 Diversity of global event industry
Event: This means any programme and something that happens in order to aware people,
enjoys and promoting the new product in market is consider as event. In other words, a planed
and organized occasion for the purpose of enjoying and providing information. For example,
sports match, wedding planning, world cup etc. Different types of events are as discussed:
As per size
Local or community events: This means to conduct the occasions and events by
collecting the people of various communities at public place is consider as community events.
Herein, no discrimination occurs between people on the basis of community, culture, colour, sex,
language etc. Such type of event are organised to develop the economic growth and improving
the social relations which helps to increase awareness.
Mega events: Such events need very short time to organise and earn huge amount of
profit. These are organised to encourage people at the global level. It need lot of investment for
the purpose of protecting position level and tourism at marketplace (Melezhik and et. al., 2012).
As per the content or form
Sports events: Events are organised for the purpose of different types of sports such as
athletics, Olympics, World cup, Fifa world cup so on. To organise such content and form of

event are require government regulations which helps to conduct such events. It organised at
wider level which attracts people more and helps to gain competitive advantages.
Business events: Such events are organised only for business purpose that requires
minimum 15 people to organise this. It helps to develop the healthy and business relations which
processed to high profits. This involves promotional, marketing and others activities to organise
the business events.
Structure of event industry
Event management companies: This consider those organisation which are established
to conduct the event and managing them properly as per customer requirement. For instance,
social events, meetings, wedding plan, conference etc.
Venues: This states places which are important to organised an event. Places and venues
are the key point of success and growth which attracts customers by location and conduct
successful events (Nelson and Bancel, 2011).
Event industry: In business environment there are many event organised industry that
provide proper facility and arrangements to people to organise an events and earn desired results
effectively.
Role of event in society
Events are the organised plans which runs by event organiser as per customer or
organisation demand in order to aware people which helps to increase the sale of business. It
impacts positively as success and development of country as well as organisation. Events are
playing important role in society as it helps to build good relations with society and their people
and keep in touch. For instance, Festival events, culture events, society planning, kitty events etc.
which helps to maintain good relations (Classen and et. al., 2011).
It also develop understanding and link between people by organising events and creating
different opportunities for people. Moreover, by sharing ideas and thoughts people can attain the
social objectives.
P2 Discuss numerous factors which impact development of the events industry globally
Event industry at national and international level organise the plans accordingly which
helps to attracts the people more and increasing economical growth (Taks, 2013). In global
business there are various factors which can impacts on global development such as:

Motivation and requirement of different events: This factor states that motivation is
important for business organisation as it helps to increase the organisational productivity and
profitability. The main purpose of conducting the events is to motivate and attracts the people
which helps to fill the requirements. For instance, personal, social and culture are those factors
which can affect the global event industry by attaining market share and profitability. Moreover,
it helps to raise the financial position of country by organising events.
Event history and social factors: the main focus of this element considers society,
geography and culture which helps to attracts the people more. Social factor involves changing
in demand and fashion which needs to arrange the events accordingly. To organise any events
there should be history and interest information of people which can impacts positively on global
event (Wang and Snoussi, 2014). For instance, International Confex Event industry manage the
events by focusing on beliefs, shared values and culture and organise the events accordingly
which helps to develop the global events efficiently.
Thus, above mentioned factors can impacts on development of global events. It can
influence the International Confex Event industry by focusing on social and motivational factors
it can increase the development of Global events. It helps to operate the all functions successfully
and create a good position in market. Moreover, by organising event globally CSR also increases
which leads to economical growth and development (Kirkendall and et. al., 2012).
M1 Factors which has influenced structure, development and organization
In business environment there are various event industry that organises events and plans
which helps in economical development and growth of organisation. Macro factors are consider
as those factors which impacts on event industry and improve the rigid working structure,
development and sustain economic development. It is important for event industry to improve
the organisation development, structure and culture which can influence the event industry
(Zscheischler and et. al., 2014). All are playing different role in society such as they enhance the
education and knowledge of society people, provide job opportunity, reduce the poverty level by
organising international events.
D1Critically examine the role which impact the event industry and the role play in society
From the above factors it has been critically evaluated that events in society are helpful
to increase the living standard of people. It helps to enhance the knowledge and experience of
people by organising events globally. With the help of global event industry become more

resourceful and financial strong which helps to meet with expectations. Motivation and history
event requirement industry are those factors which can shape the event industry and conduct
events successfully (Wang and et. al., 2014).

P3 Produce an evaluation for the range of global event
Sustainability has gained much importance in recent years. If the events are planned in a
sustainable manner then it will create value among the stakeholders of the company and also
benefits the nation with the improved environment. So, with sustainability a lot of wastage has
reduced which has decreased the negative effect on the society as a whole. International Confex,
a well known exhibition centre has also been successful in creating legacy in the way that they
hold a very strong belief in using the recycled things which creates a sustainable environment.
Their efforts has also enhanced the female participation in the Olympics and they even gives best
facilities. As the business gives best facilities in the field of sports events, a lot of pollution is
created like carbon emission and due to this there is a strong need for them to increase the use of
sustainable methods and resources (Doherty and Clayton, 2011). A very standard example of this
is when Rio has initiated with a program in 2016. Rio made the medals from the materials which
were recycled for the ceremony in the Olympic games. They also made use of solar technology
to save the energy and even created a sustainable design of their logo. This has created a lot of
positive impact on the environment and had left a lasting impact or legacy among the local
people. So, the global events should be planned in a way that it creates positivity in the
environment and leaves a much lasting impact.
P4 Review management strategies that support the event
There are various strategies followed by the event managers to manage and develop
many global well known events and to make them work smoothly. Events are organized for
many reasons like enhancing the image of the brand, increase the sales by taking the leads from
there and to build relationships with the customers (Franz-Wachtel and et. al., 2012).
International Confex must develop objectives that are specific, attainable, can be completed on
time, can be measured and must be realistic. They should also use key performance indicators
i.e. KPIs to measure their performance and to look that where they are standing. Event organizers
can also make appropriate budgets to forecast the expenditures so that there are no unnecessary

spending in the process of events. Government plays a crucial role in marketing of the national
events and funds a lot of conferences and exhibitions for the general public. Government
partners with various private event companies to effectively plan and organize the events and
implementing the strategies to make them successful as they comprises a major part for the
growth of the economy. Events can be well planned and marketed with the use of social media
like Instagram, Facebook, and even new techniques like SEO, pay per click, etc. so that
awareness can be increased among the people (Sun and et. al., 2016). International Confex uses
print as well as social media to encourage people to come to the event and to enhance enthusiasm
among the sports lovers. Marketing and promotions are the main strategies for the global events.
M2 Critically evaluate the management strategies for the event industry
Proper management strategies can be helpful in maximizing the returns of the
stakeholders. Companies should focus upon the stakeholders and should make efficient use of
various resources used by the organization for the events as this will directly impact their returns.
International Confex make various efforts to convey the sustainable activities they are doing
which make people aware and leaves a direct positive impact in the minds of all the stakeholders.
They even manage to organize the meetings on timely basis to make several decisions and bring
innovation in their current strategies. All these management strategies help the company in
making the global events successful.
D2 Assess critical impact of global event on the environment
The huge events conducted at a global level has a huge impact on the society. The impact
is both negative as well as positive. Negative impact is there as these events harms the
environment a lot and creates a lot of emissions as well. So, companies should definitely take
some steps to increase the CSR activities and use the resources which are sustainable in nature.
Event organizers should understand the impact they are creating on the environment and must
take responsible steps to reduce that impact (Turner and et. al., 2014). More activities must be
planned which will create value for all the stakeholders and overall improvement can be there in
the economic and social environment as well.

CONCLUSION
From the preceding information it has been concluded that global event are those events
which attracts the people by collecting at one place. It is important for event industry to focus on
external and internal factors which helps to deal with difficulties and shows positive and negative
impacts. There are different types of global events such mega event, local and community events
that are depends on size, form and content which are run by a person who have knowledge about
management and controlling the functions. Management event strategies are consider SMART
objectives and budget planning and event management strategy which helps to deal with all
events and make them successful.
