INTRODUCTION
Global event means to organize any event, conference and function in different country and
people participates to show their talent and skills. To increase the image and economic condition
there is need to formulates planning and organise some corporate events where people could
contribute and helps to develop the country position. In other words, global event is a field of
management that deals with conference, festivals and events that create awareness and manage
each functions (Bama, and Tichaawa, 2019). The event management is responsible for creating
best experience possible for guest, stakeholders and viewers that can to develop business
performance. The current report is based on Excel, London that is an exhibition and international
convention centre in the Royal Docks, East London. It hosted number of consumer and trade,
private and public, concerts, conferences and weddings that can influences number of people and
manage functions. The Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland, where it has impacted on
economy of specific country and people. The event manager of such centre would allocate the
work between team members and make efforts to complete task. The report covers range of
global event industry, factors that influenced event industry development of event industry,
techniques, management strategies, level of environment and others.

Examine the diversity of the global events industry, including its structure and how it is
organised, together with the place of different types of events within our society
Event is defined as organising a special event that relates to sports, function, wedding,
brand exhibition and product /services launch by organization for the purpose of creating
awareness and managing higher performance. The classification of event according to size and
scale is defined below:
On the basis of Size
Local and community events – This means many communities focuses on host of
festivals and event to targeting local audience by continuing fun and entertainment. The main
purpose behind hosting local or community event is increase a feeling of belonging and creating
a sense of place (Ghotbi, and Quan, 2019).
Major event – The basis of major event is scale and media interest that is capable of
attracting visitor’s numbers, media coverage and social benefits. The main purpose of organizing

major event is to attracts the large number of people and providing them economic benefits. For
example, TT races and Silverstone that hosted for attracting people.
The different types of events on the basis of forms are as explained:
Hallmark Events – This termed to those events who are so identified with ethics of a
town, region and city by gaining knowledge and awareness. Moreover, it is time duration event
organised for the purpose of enhancing awareness, profitability of tourism destination and
managing activities. The success of such event depends on uniqueness, status, or time period that
create interest. For instance, The Chelsea Flower Show in UK, and Edinburgh International
Festival in Scotland (El Baz, and Kassem, 2020).
Mega Events – This could be explained as events that are large in size and affect whole
economies and reverberate in global media. This event generally organized by following
competitive bidding in a country and managing all functions. For examples, Olympic games,
FIFA World Cup and World Fairs that are organised by investing amount more than 1 million
visits (ASTARI, 2019).
Event based form and content – This event is formed on the basis of content and form.
The form event involves cultural event, including festival and concerts. These events have grown
out insights of people and manage functions.
Business events – This events are organized by companies for the purpose of promoting
their products and improving brand image. This involves exhibitions, conferences, meetings, and
corporate events that can help to develop the understanding and managing all activities.
The structure and component of event industry is:
Event organization: Event staged by organizations such as BBC that hosted Good Food
Shows by using BBC Haymarket Exhibitions or ITMA2003.
Event management company: Some organization are professional group that organise
events on basis of contract and their clients. For example, Tesla contract to manager for
launching new product that would help to increase customer base.
Suppliers: Specialist suppliers are those businesses, focused over growth of large
industries. This provides different products and services to required people (Kampmann, Müller,
Vorsmann, Weise, and Kierfeld, 2021).
