Introduction
There are multiple ways to categorise events; based on their size, content and
form. Global events can be considered as events that have global reach. These events
require a huge sum of public investments and have influence over built environment as
well as population. Some of the examples of global events are World Cups, Global
Expos, Olympics and cultural festivals like Kumbh Mela in India; the gathering here is so
huge that it can be seen from space. These events acts as a catalyst to ensure long-
term infrastructural development. These events are considered to be a means to
simulate growth and development (Amato et al 2019). These events helps ensuring
tourism optimization, long term-investments, employment opportunities, infrastructural
growth, therefore ensuring the overall community development. London’s ExCeL
Exhibition Centre is a well-reputed United Kingdom based organization that have
successfully managed many global events in the past. They were the venue for
Olympics 2012. After this success, they want to analyse the dynamic events market and
use that information to fuel their future success.
