A global event refers to an event which is organised and planned to involve people from
different parts of the world. Participants from various countries take part in these events to show
their skill or activity to the audience who came to see their performance from all around the
globe. This process helps in better engagement among the different countries altogether. Events
like these helps to inculcate various values among the participants. Also different activities
contribute to the welfare of the economy such as enhancement in tourism which plays an
important role in the economy of any country. This report is made in the context of Winter Youth
Olympic Games (YOG) which was held on 13 to 22 January, 2012 in Innsbruck of Austria which
is an multi sport events for participants from al over the world. This report provides a brief
insight into global events and their impact on the micro- and macro-environment. Various
aspects and factors influencing the development and organization of global events are also
highlighted. Some of the different strategies are discussed in order to manage these epic events

Impact - Impact is a permanent effect which was beard by the countries who are
organising the winter Olympics like in the case of this winter Olympics was organised by
Innsbruck, Australia, it gave them the benefit of media coverage and financial resources like due
to Olympics the country can earn a recognition for itself, if it is not that famous around the globe
(Susanto, 2021). The country can take attention and it results in enhancing the tourism and can
promote the local market and cultural values in all over the world. Financial resources can help

enhancing the infrastructure and the facilities that the country can provide to its visitor's that can
further enhance the economy and the tourism sector as well. The great facility that a country can
probably can provide to its visitor's then the visitor can reconsider planning their trip to the
country which is Australia. Thus these are the impacts that a country can majorly bear in the
terms of growth.

global events.
In order to make sure that the event is going to be a successful event there are several
strategies that can majorly effect its level of success and afterwards the reach of the event to the
public who is interested and who is not. For example, these factors can facilitate the segment of
complex practices and activities. And there are several strategies that can effect the success of
the event as well as can be implemented as detailed further.
 Budget – In organising the event the financial resource and the budget plays a huge and

team members by other teams playing in the event. Team can also increase the efficiency
of the team members because they can increase their level of efficiency by doing regular
practise and keep motivating each other.
 Venue – Venue is determined as a specific and a non moveable factor which have a
very critical role in organising the event and it also includes a major factor which is
essential from the perspective of the general public and reachability which is a essential

part from the point of view of organising the event. It is critical factor because if it is not
decided then the event cant take place because it is one of the few several first steps.
 Date – This factor is a very major part of a successful event. For example events
organised and conducted on the weekends have a greater chances of having more
audience and greater amount of people that can attend the event because of the fact that
who are employed and earn the living for them and for their loved ones. They have a
holiday from their offices and they can probably spent that time with their families and
friends and due to that their are more chances of having more audience as compare to the
week days.
 Sponsor – Sponsors are the primary factors of the events because without them it is
impossible to organise the major event as this winter Olympic. The sponsor will invest
in the event which is not bearable for a single person and for some investors. A huge
amount like organising for winter Olympic, it cant be beard by some several people
investing in it. This event needs the investors who can afford to bear the amount. By this
investment they have a sole target of earning the profit out of it.

countries, which also contributes to the financial support of the country. Therefore, you can
easily improve the engagement of people in different geographical locations through one
platform or venue (Séraphin and Nolan, 2018).

an event is a broad concept consisting of various factors and forces that influence it. For
example, the main findings of this report include different types of events and their structure and

organization. Also included are the macro-environment impacts values and legacies of global
events, and strategies to support the development of global events. In addition, various strategies
are developed to maximize participation from inside and outside the host country and make the
global event a success.
