INTRODUCTION
Global events are the hosting of global events such as Olympic, Expos and world cups
and cultural festivals that provide long term opportunities to gain stimulated growth and
development. Host of such kinds of events seek by ensuring that respective kinds of events acts
as an catalysts for local development and enhancement for leverage long term infrastructure
investments, encourage tourism and trade, provide jobs and promote development of community.
This report is based on the London’s ExCeL Exhibition Centre which is an exhibitions and
international convention centre in Custom area of canning town in east London. This report is
based on the significance of diversity of global events and their role in society and factors which
directly influenced on development of events at global level. Further it includes the value, legacy
and impacts of global event on the environment in which it operated by reviewing management
strategies responsible for global events. To gain potential outcomes it is very much necessary to
examine both internal and external environment by using PESTEL and SWOT analysis of events

P1 Evaluate the diversity of global events with their structure and their impact of respective
events on society.
Diversity is about the societal expectations, it is much more then just race and ethnicity
but includes different ages, physical abilities, gender and education level. Diversity also exist in
the events as their objectives differ from one another. There are various kinds of events that are
as follows:
Different types of events on basis of size:
On the basis of size there are various kinds of events that serve differ purposes that are:
 Local or community events: Local or community events are the one of best events work
as an great way to bring communities close together to one another (Anderson, 2019.).
The main purposes behind held respective events is to raise funds for worthy cause, to
bring positive change in local area, celebrate some events that helps masses to rally.
Example of such events are host a street party, put on a film screening many more.
 Hallmark events: Hallmark events are major fairs, expositions and cultural and events of
international status that held on regular basis or specified one off basis. The main
function of respective events is to provide host community to secure high prominence in
tourism marketplace.
By form or content:
 Cultural events: Respective events are very much important to represent the culture of a
specified place, nation or people or groups by defining their art, beliefs and customs,
practices and values in order to reach at large no. of people (Arno and Dissanayake,
2019.).
 Sports events: Sports events are very much important kind of events that held at various
levels such as local, national and international level at various categories with the intense
level of competition in between the people to gain potential outcomes in positive manner.

 Event organisations: Event organisations held various kinds of events as per the
requirement of clients by bringing innovative themes and attributes at specified time
interval. In today's scenario taking services from the large suppliers is expensive so
clients takes services from small dealers as they provide reasonable services to them.

for an individual as well as organisation to enhance the value of an event in proper

 Venues: Venues are very crucial for an event company as well as for clients and
accordingly charges prices against it (Badiou, 2019..). So in context of event
management company Hyve group that conduct 120 trade exhibitions and conferences
every year in 14 countries so they take care about the venues as it plays crucial role.

Events and get together have deep impact on the society as they held to serve some
specific goals and objectives in positive manner. Events enhance community spirit, build strong
network within community and outside of it. It helps to communicate the proper message and
knowledge to individuals that create a strong bond in between the people.

The event industry improves year by year, there are large no. of factors which directly
contributes towards the growth of event industry that factors increase or decrease the worth of
respective industry. Due to the rise in disposable income of households in marketplace of UK

increased by the £3 billion in comparison to 2011.

innovative ideas and concepts event management industry should be able to attract one of best
ratio of consumers. It can be only possible by giving values, inputs and legacy at global events
