INTRODUCTION
The global event can be defined as those functions and activities which are
performed at a global level (Horne, 2017). In these kind of events different kind of
nations are included in order to perform various activities. The participants of multiple
nations work together in order to better succession of a global event. In the absence of
proper coordination between different participants, this can be difficult to make an event
successful. Under the report, London's Excel Exhibition centre is chosen as accordance
of given case. This organisation has performed different kind of international and
national events. The project report covers detailed information regards to entire global
event industry in which various kind of aspects are included such as diversity of event
industry, factors that effect development of event industry. In addition under further part
of report includes value, legacy and impact of events on environment in which they are
operated.

1. Diversity of the global event industry and place of different types of events.
In the external environment, different kind of events are organised for various
purpose and objectives. Herein, it is important to know that these events are needed to
be managed and organised in an effective manner which is done by event managers.
Such as the Excel Exhibition Centre performed vital range of events at global level like
Olympics. On the basis of size, the events are categorised into below manner :
 Local events- These events are be defined as those events which are performed
at any particular regional level. The local events are organised at a small platform
such as in any city or state. Like Christmas event in a city is considered as local
event.
 Major events- These kind of events are performed and organised at a wider
place (Sumiala, Tikka and Huhtamäki, 2018). Under major events, higher number
of visitor visits in order to attend the function. Such as speech given by president
of any particular nation is considered as major event. This is so because in this
kind of event vital range of visitors come to attend the function.
