INTRODUCTION
Global events refers to a physical phenomenon which are taking place for a short
period of time and have a global reach. Usually this events are based on a specific location
and investment is done by public which leads to a huge impact over population and also
development of the region where it is conducted (Lee and et. al.,2019). When taking present
scenario global event industry can be segmented into various groups based on age group,
organizer, region type of event and so on. The events can also be divided into categories such
as musical concerts, exhibitions, sports events, corporate events, festivals and so on. The
following report consist of various diversity of global events and will also influence on the
impacts of legacy of range of global events. The report includes all the positive as well as
negative impact of different micro environmental issues over these global events.

P1 Examine the diversity of the global events industry, including its structure and
organisation and the role of different types of events in society
Division of global events industry can be done according to the size and type of
events which include hallmark events, sports events, mega events, local or community events
as mentioned below:
Hallmarks event: These are the events which are gaining huge range of awareness from
public. This take place specifically identified as sports or ethos events. They are taking place
for a short period of time in order to appeal tourism destination or spread awareness.
Sport events: These events consist of various contests which takes place between animals,
people or machines. It can include various winning contest, race, games or competitions.
Mega events: Mega events are the events in which more than 1 million visitors are visiting
and also $500 million amount to spend. Some examples can be cultural Olympiad, Edinburg
Festival and so on.
Local or community events: Local community events are the events which are comprising of
public property and approximately 50 or more than 50 participants. Various parades,
marches, demonstrations can be included in local or community events.

Industry association: There are a number of professional associations formed within the
industry as the event organisation is growing day by day. They are responsible for promoting
the event and also making sure customer demand regarding event is increased efficiently

Venue: When your management in events are related to the places where event is going to
take place. This can include various universities, libraries, galleries, theatres or even
hospitality sector.
Role of events for society:
There are a number of major roles which an event works for in a society. Below

demography, value and believe of customer which is having positive as well as negative
impact on revenues of event industry along with their profit. When taking London ExCel

important for an organisation to consider all the values as well as factors that merely affect on
the environment. The different events that is conducted by business entities and their affect
on environment is given below:

Social and cultural impact-: Events plays vital role that develop positive influence
and increase communication within the societies. The culture of people is different and is
based on values, beliefs, religion and many more. Therefore, organising a cultural event plays
an effective role in meeting requirements of individual, interact them that assist people to
gain knowledge about other people’s traditions, religion and so on. On the other side, it is
determined that such form of events arise issues for people who are introvert and have rude
behaviour. Moreover, it also arise conflicts among people when their perception and view
point does not match and develops negative environment as well.
Physical & environment impact-: The physical factors include communication
services, transportation and so on. It is determine that it involve positive aspect as it facilitate
easy and convenient transport for public from one place to another. On the other hand, it
impact negatively on environment by developing noise pollution, air pollution that impact on
the health of a person,
Political impact-: It is analysed that events ate also influence by political factors that
is rules, regulations, norms, policies and so on (Cheng, 2019). There are various events that is
conducted by organisation on different country and for this, they need to follow process of
the event host country. In addition to this, it shows positive influence on the basis of
favourable conditions such as promotion of company, enhance reputation at global level and
so on. on the other side, it has negative impact of the rules as well as policies are
unfavourable and strict as well.
Tourism & economic impact-: Events develops high number of opportunities for
tourism sector that has positive impact in the growth of economy that is associated with
revenue earned via events. The industries conduct event is not beneficial or advantageous for
tourism but can arise employment opportunity. It is determined that conducting event at other
place involved high risk for event company that is related with reputation, increase in
opportunity cost and so on.
In addition to this, there are also other factors that contributes to economy at different
levels:
National level-: Global events is wide in nature and conducted at a high level on
different countries that directly effect on economy contribution. It enhance foreign direct
