INTRODUCTION
Global events are the international communication agency that build to connect different
brands and people with live events and in the same way current report provide a deep
understanding of global events. It is based upon the case study of London's Excel Exhibition
Centre and they wished to saw as an Olympic Venue, 2012. Therefore, study explore the
diversity of global events' industry and the factors which have influenced its development.
Further, study evaluate the value, legacy and impacts of events on the environment in which it
currently operates. Report also assess the impact of macro environment has on the global events'
industry and their influence on decision making and lastly, it describes criteria which is essential
for the successful planning of the Olympic Venue, 2012.

Describing the diversity of global events
Diversity of global events on the basis of Size:
Local or community events: this type of events is considered a planned event in which
more than 50 members are invited. Such that Pre-planned Marched, Parades etc.
Major events: this type of events are generally held to generate vehicular traffic that
helps to attract more than aggregate number of visitors within an authorized
development.
Hall Mark events: this are fair, exhibition and cultural, sports events pf an international
status which are held on regular basis (Nanni, Ponzetto and Dietz, 2016). The main aim
of this event is to provide the host community an opportunity secure high prominence in
the market place.
Mega events: This are one time sporting event of an international scale that yield
extreme high level of media coverage and its impact upon the host community.
Diversity of global events on the basis of Form or content:
Cultural events: this type of events are related to specific culture and through the event
they represent a culture. Therefore, it celebrated for tradition of a particular place and
people.
Sports events: This event means a contest in which animals or people compete
individually or in a team with a purpose of win a race or a game. The current study is also
fallen under sports events.

Music events: it is the live performance of singing and instrument playing which is
further presented as a theme such as Folk, jazz and classical music.
Business events: This are held for business scenario and it can be in any form such that
to present financial performance of a company, for reward ceremony etc.
The structure of event industry includes the event organization in which people prefer to
take contract to third party so that they make better facilities and in UK, there are many event
management companies which provide support to their customers and organized the event in
better way.
Factors that influenced development of events
Growth and emergence of event industry: As per the data, it is analysed that there is
continuous rise in the number and scale of all events which are emerged as a growth
drivers in an event industry. Such that wedding planning, Birthday parties, social around
gathering etc. In UK, the market of Event industry is estimated as £42.3 therefore, it
shows that there is 8% rise in the event industry as compared to previous one.
Demand and motivation of different types of event: As the growth of event industry is
increases, there is a rise in demand and motivation of different types of event. Such that
at global level, most of the public insist that the company should provide different types
of event (O'shea and et.al., 2016) Therefore, public demand high class events on their
personal as well as local events and as a result, it affects the development of events in
positive way, also leads to generate or increase the economy f the country as well.
Event history and socio- cultural development: Events are generally held to increase
the interaction between developing people and the culture in which they live. Even the
history of event also states that event are actually held for enhancing interaction between
people so that they share their own experience and ideas with each other.

Value and contribution of event to global economy: The contribution of global event
upon the industry is high such that as per 2017 report, business event contribute more
than 2.5 trillion and provide a million of jobs to the people so that it affect positive way
to the global economy of a country (Direct impact of global business event, 2018).
