INTRODUCTION
Global Intellectual property management refers to the system of managing the rights, patents
and trademarks of the firms that are working on a global level. The major motive of the
global IP management is to ensuing that the right resources are performing the right task
and assures the actual cost. Global IP management is the system or software that is used by
the business and the law firms in order to protect the copyright, trademarks, royalties,
brand and other different legal rights that are related to the intellectual property rights 1 The
intellectual property rights is the copyright of the firm which is concerned with Copyright,
patents, designs & confidential information. The Global IP management manges the
records of the intellectual property rights and provides an assurance to the global firms that
their copyrights and trademarks are safe on their name within the maintaining of the
records.
This essay will illustrate the concept of the commercialising the intellectual property at the
global level in order to ensure the growth and development in the business. The BLAZE
DESIGN LIMITED is the UK manufacturer that wants to explore their business by
commercialising their intellectual property. The report will show the options that are present for
the BDL in terms of commercialising their IP, the legal agreements that are mandatory to used
by the firm, the major provisions that are mandatory to pay attention for commercialising the IP.
Apart from this, the report will highlight the major risk that is concerned with the
commercialization of IP and the ways in which the risk can be mitigated.

The BLAZE DESIGN LIMITED is the firm that has been established in the UK. The
firm manufacturers the digital printing machines. These machines are used for commercial
purpose and for consumer as well. The logo of the firm has got the patent protected. The
software of the firm has been self-developed by them. The firm is concerned with the European

union trade mark. Now, the firm is thinking to expanding their business with commercialization
of IP. The firm has never experienced the trading the global level.

The intellectual property rights refers to those rights that provides right to the firm in
order to perform their operation in a particular way. There are large number of firms that
produces the same category of products. If the stakeholders of the business wants to know the
differentiation among these firms then it is analysed by the IP rights. As the Intellectual property
right is a copyright to the firm that the particular product, machine, logo and the approaches of
producing the products can only be used by that particular firm in accordance with the
intellectual property rights. This acts as a safeguarding for the firm. BDL is planning to
commercial their IP. The commercialization of IP leads to develop new products and production
method that ensures the growth to the business. The firm is approaching the global platform and
the organization has no experience in terms of trading at outside the country. There is threat to
the firm that, the different firms can use the production method of the BDL and can create the
duplicate products. In such situation, the intellectual property rights has been proven effective
enough in protecting the BDL and ensuring the growth to the company. Here are the various
options that are present to the BDL in order to add glory in their business with the usage of IP:
Safeguarding the ideas- BDL itself develops machines that is used to print the LOGO on the
shirts and t-shirts. The company has its specific quality in terms of generating the raw materials
as all that are requited in terms of producing the final output. The company is establishing its
business at outside the UK. So, by using the IP rights the firm has the complete copyright over
the production method. No other firms at the global level can copy the method of production that
is possessed by the BDL. This ensures that the company has its own method of producing the
resources along with the final output .2The company has the effective ability and this quality of
the BDL is protected by the intellectual property rights as it provides the copyright of using the
method of producing the machines to the BDL only. As a result, the ides of the company is safe
with them. No-one can use that as this is considered as illegal under the business law. Thus, it
