globlepolicy and strategy REFLECTIVE WRITING On the day 1 of group discussion and individual task being assigned to me , I had a clear vision in asking the right role which best suits my skills, I told my group leader that I want to explore in the area of business strategy of Syngenta. How they had promulgated their success across the globe and what strategy they had implemented to penetrate a major share in the pie among their competitors. What made me to select this part of the role in the group? Was this the apt area I was researching? My past experience during my graduation and the role I had played in individual projects acts a strength here to give right information needed for the report, initially I had negative feelings on how I will perform in the group, but certain things were clearly discussed among our group discussion that to make this report successful, the team member should not downscale others view on the information they collect on syngenta, rather review discuss and add value to the individual contribution by group discussion and theories to support the relevant information . Apart from the strategy, I also learnt how syngenta balance between the farmer and the yield they produce. The population of the world is increase by day to day which is determined approx 18000 people and because of that many farmers last their erosion.Person’s who produce the food for the world and their lives are living in the poverty and therefore biodiversity id disappearing fast. The Growth plan as follows, It is effective to make crops Syngenta committed to raise the standard production of the world’s major crops by 20% without using more capital as a land, water or inputs. We’re still raising reference farm yields ahead of their benchmarks and taking a lead in the digital revolution that’s set to transform agriculture in the coming years. By making this project report in a group is a good experiencing but somehow it also has a tough challenge for all the group members. In this every member of the group has been find some knowledge that is helping in finding the strategy of growth on a global level.
Need rescue in farmland Syngentacommitted to recover the richness of 10 million hectares of farmland on the edge of degradation. We’ve already benefited an area about the size of Guatemala – and we’re building momentum with the help of a wide range of partners. In this all the people in the group take responsibility of finding the need that is helpful in rescue the farmland which is very important for the company. It helps in prosper biodiversity The concerned companycommitted to improve biodiversity on 5 million hectares of farmland. The experience and evidence base we’re building demonstrates that biodiversity investment makes business sense. It give more knowledge that is helpful in future terms in the cultivation process which is very important to the world. Because without it not one live. Examine this experience is very beneficial for the group members of a team. Empower smallholders Syngenta mainly focuses on to reach the 20 million smallholders and enabling them to enhancing the productivity by 50%. We’re demonstrating substantial increases in smallholder yields and working with partners for better on-farm practices Focus on each worker Syngentacommitted to endeavour for fair manual labour conditions throughout our entire supply chain network. We’re on track to reach our 100% target – and to be first in our industry with global Fair Labour Association accreditation(Larres, 2017). This activity content session helps in dealing the questions on the basis of which strategy can be made. What route should the industry follow to accomplish its purpose? In analyzing what the policy shouldbe, two types of 'fit' are of centralconcern to administrator(Scott and Rajabifard, 2017).Primarily, firm need to focus on the fit between a business and an environment. Therefore, if the enterprise is not successful to make a fit between these two then it is not able to fulfill the demand of the environment and it will not perform its functions properly, which can eventually lead to bankruptcy or takeover. Itis also called a extrinsic consonance for instance, manager of a firm

would also helps in accomplishing the intrinsic fit between different functions in the company. If various units become misaligned, theorganization will experience from inefficiency, conflict and poor external performance, which can also eventually lead to its demise. This form of fit is also referred to as 'internal consistency'. Both the strategy i.e. external and internal play a significant role in the successful organization unit, they need to be achieved for each managerial unit.Different companies have various objectives but to fulfill all the needs of the business they need to follow internal and external fit within their industry. In Figure II.1 all these possible levels within a corporation have beenreduced to just three general categories, to which a fourth, supra-organizational level has beenadded.Every level of the policies fulfills the needs of external consonance and internal consistency. What did I learn as the most important as a part of the group while collecting data? From the above data facts, syngenta had a clear vision in reaching the audience and the segmented market. The learn how approach was the most fascinating learning from the information audit. One of the case was in 2010, The demand of the rice will more in the world as almost all the people in the universe eat rice , but with the insufficient productivity cannot fulfils the forecast demand. In this they face many threats and challenges like shortage of labour, inefficient use of water as well as increasing costs.Mitigating the risks of those manufacture challenge moving forward would need transforming rice production, something that would be difficult to accomplish.Approx 200 million smallholders cultivate rice in Asia and reaching these growers was going to be a challenge. Most of these growers in developing areas still resorted to planting by hand, back-breaking practice and a labor intensive. (Syngenta 2013).However, the concerned organisation, with a efficient presence in the Asian rice market, saw an opportunity to build by taking on some of those challenges, and transforming the production of rice along the way. In the above case I learnt how syngenta adopted a home strategy which was success earlier, and the solution they adopted in terms of replacement of hard labour to machines and commercial return on crop yield has seen a historical surge. This function is started by using high quality of rice seeds that are effectively coated with a treatment seed before it was planted. (Pisk and Lawton 2012). This type of seed coating helps protect the new, densely planted seedlings from early ailments. Therefore when the seedlings are ready for transplant into the fields of grower’s than they are removed from the seedlings fields in small amounts, like that of sod grass, and placed into flat trays for physical
distribution. In this the seedlings are placed in the rows which is on lower density than it phases(Arkolakis and et. al., 2018).The transplanting process can be traditional done by a hands of workers as they spend more time in flooded fields, placing seeds into the soil where the mud is place. With TEGRA™, the transplanting process is organised by a yard tractor-sized machine outfitted with tall, narrow wheels that shows the directions of the flooded fields. Further equipped with shelves to hold the flat trays of seedlings, the mechanized transplanter precisely meters the seedlings into precise rows.  2015 International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA). All rights reserved 174 Yeager, Downey and Widmar Volume18 Issue 2, 2015 The launch of TEGRA™ in 2010proved to be achieved. In trials, yields increased almost 30 percent, resulting in $270 of extra profit per hectare1 and areturn on speculationas high as 150 percent. During a 2010 visit, Hendrick had spoken with MuttineniVeeraiah, a rice grower in India’s Andhra Pradesh region. Mutteneni had been very positive, “From transplanting to cultivating, mycrop stays in better condition than it did with theconservative processI used before” (Syngenta 2011). Across the globe, a similar revolution has taken place in sugar cane production (Syngenta 2015a).This new advanced technology is called PLENE™. Syngentadevelops sugarcane seed stockin growth chambers, slices the seedstock into plugs, and applies growth- and yield-improving treatments to the plugs, which are then mechanically planted. Using more advanced technology reduces the dependency of workers into the work for which they used to manually cut the long sugarcane seeds goods into plugs for gardening(Rugman and Verbeke, 2017). My group leader complimented on the above data I have presented, I had a clear rationale to authenticate the data which I had collected on the turn around intiative of syngenta’s strategy in the major locations of Asia which is outside their home business. I was very confident on the report and adviced my team members to see the success of syngenta as an hindsight for our future endeavours in our work or business, and making ourself a key player in knowing the crux of business , which are the end users, in this case syngenta’s corporate client were none other than the most unnoticed on the earth “ THE FARMERS”. It is very useful for the data for the group member of a team
