Reflection on Green Biotechnology and Simulation Testing

This reflection discusses the experience and learnings from working on a project on green biotechnology and simulation testing. It covers the challenges faced, contributions made, and future intentions for improvement.

Reflection 3
I am glad that I got this opportunity to work over such an interesting and knowledgeable
project as it contributed a lot in improving my understanding regarding green Bio technology and
manner in which it is helpful for improving the quality of crops. Additionally, it also supported
in developing my personal skills that further help me in achieving future goals. My experience
throughout the conduction of project is mentioned below:
Primary reflection
This project is based on determination of several kind of green biotechnology, the changes
that it brings within the current agricultural practices and the changes that it can bring along with
testing it in the form of simulation for future results. While starting this project I was feeling
excited and getting nervous at the same time. I was excited that i would become a part of such an
interesting project which will enhance my learning and knowledge and nervous about whether
the things will go right or not. So, for conducting this simulation testing first of all we required to
make up a action plan that we perform in order to deal with the situation or issues that
agricultural industry is currently facing. While performing my role during simulation I provided
by team mates with well-structured and meaningful information so that they can related it with
the issues and make up valid decision for performing simulation testing. In my information
document I presented about the main issues in agricultural sector and how these all are affecting
the quality and quantity of food that get planted. So, for better execution of project I thought it
would be better to connect the issue that are evaluated through my research with the scope of
green bio technology which are currently being invented but are not so common in use. My aim
behind it is to provide certain criteria’s through which a discussion can be performed and action
can be taken toward simulation testing by making use of previously launched technologies. This
was my contribution to the simulation process as I presented team with some related material
that they can use in order to form up better decision and action plan can be made about what to
perform and its illusion can be tested to determine feasibility of the plan with the help of
simulation so that weak areas can be improved and plan can be implemented in real life for better
outcomes.
Secondary reflection
For conducting this project, I was assigned with a team where we have to work jointly in
order to investigate, analyse, manage and present the information effectively so that simulation

model can be presented to bring a new changes in the agricultural industry and dealing with the
issues it is facing. So, the perform my part I decided to work as a data analyst. This is so because
my observation skills are good and I have a thorough understanding regarding the method or
techniques that must be used in order to convert data into meaningful information. Hence, I
decided to contribute toward my group project by analysing eth gathered data and provide them
with more effective and clearer information so that further action can be performed toward
preparing simulation model. But I found that I am lacking in time management skills as the time
provided me for data analysis exceed when I actually performed it. this in turn make it difficult
for my team mates to manage but at the end they reduce some duration from rest of activities.
To perform this project, we are required to work over an online platform which is actually
a page which connect all the group member over a single link where we can track all the
activities performed by group members, the task we have to perform etc. so that nothing get
missed and each work get accomplished on timely manner. This platform supported me a lot in
getting timely notification of the activities to be performed and also provided me a medium
through which I can maintain a better interaction with team mates and exchange information
more quickly. But the successful completion of project is only possible with the equivalent
support from the team mates and which remains only possible when there is a positive
relationship among the group members. As all the members of team are having different
perspective and not much known to each other the conflicts are high which remains difficult for
all of us to perform appropriately. So, in order to build up effective relationship with team mates
I tried to listen them when they communicate about their understanding that they currently have
and get through collection data and also tried to involve them all together over presenting idea
while taking decision that help in strengthening the team dynamics. This in turn help me in
presenting the positive behaviour toward team mates and on other side help me in getting more
depth understanding about the data which make it clear what exactly I have to do. Other than this
I also discussed my work progress at different stages to my team mates so that they can judge my
work and guide me wherever I am lacking within my work so that nothing would get wrong.
This supported me and my team mates to determine issue that may occur in advance which in
turn increases the chances of success and things operates smoothly without any kind of issue. In
addition to this it also provides them with a feel of being valued in team and hence I become able

to build up positive relationship with group members that contributed toward brining
coordination within work.
Other than this, the engagement with information is also crucial as it support in reaching to
a better positive outcome out of efforts. Hence for being engaged with the information I decide
to make a continuous interaction with the team mates so that there remains a continuous flow of
information in work. Other than this, the information that simulation testing provided also used
by me for improving the plan which is being tested. For this the findings of the simulation test
evaluated continuously for determining what went right what not and the errors are being
discussed with the team so that further analysis of data can be performed to modify the plan for
becoming successful in simulation testing. Despite of this, I make use of Gibbs model in order to
maintain a better engagement for information and my knowledge to the work performed by me.
It consists of five stages which are description, feeling, evaluation, conclusion and action plan.
While following this in description stage I actually consider what happen within a situation or
during simulation testing. After that I assess the feeling that I have at that time and the
information I gather from that, then in evaluation stage I assess the available information for
determining what went wrong and what right. After determining, evaluating and understanding
the information I made a conclusion in stage 4 over the findings that I have after simulation
testing. This all supported me in determining the area where improvement is required to be made
and strict actions to be taken so that areas that went wrong can be improved. In stage 6, after
determining the area of improvement an action plan is formulated so that things can be improved
in overall procedures for better possible outcome. Through my experience I came to know that
strong group dynamics help in performing the assigned work in more efficient manner. But in
order to bring coordination it is crucial to maintain a better relationship by listening to them that
add value to their existence. Other than this for presenting the most accurate and analysed
information for decision making, information must be presented in support with flow charts,
graphs etc. which make it easier to get explained in front of others.
Future intension
During execution of the project I go through several situation which all supported me in
raising up and learning new things which are crucial for a data analyst and support them in
execution of their work effectively. Like, while my team provide me with all the gathered data it
was quite difficult to interpret it effectively by analysing, so my team mates suggest me to use

charts and graphs to represents data. Other than this they suggest me with several tools available
within excel and MS word to shorthand the data and represent it with the medium of smart art
such as flow chart to show connection between the information. Despite of all this I also become
able to determine what are the areas that work well for me and what kind of shortcomings I
actually have in term of my work which I required to overcome. In this context I decide that I
will try to enhance my personal knowledge and expertise
Other than this throughout my work I came to know that there are certain gaps within my
knowledge and skills that somewhat affected my work so I need to overcome them so that they
not more affect my future work actions. From this project I came to know that my time
management skills, IT skills and communication skills are required to be improve. The action
