INTRODUCTION
Global public health refers to the overall health of the population. The programmes related
to this focuses not only on a specific population but on the perspective of the world. This can
helps in analysing the ways in which the public health differs among the countries and the
cultures (Nakitanda and et.al., 2021). The report focussed on the public health of UK, its
contemporary systems and the existing ones along with their impact on the health of the people.

Introduction to the country
UK, also known as United Kingdom of Northern Ireland and Great Britain is also
referred to as Britain is basically a sovereign country in north-western Europe. The total area of
the country is 94,000 square miles which is approximately 240,000 km2. It consists of 4 major
countries including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern England. The country is also
considered as the constitutional monarchy and the unitary parliamentary democracy. The capital
of UK is London which is a financial centre and global city with the population of 10.3 million
when considering the urban population. The population of UK is almost 6.66 crores. The life
expectancy in the country is almost 81.52 years which is considered as an increase of 0.15%
from 2020 (Baxter and et.al., 2018). This was noted that the life expectancy rates are increasing
by 0.15% every year.
