INTRODUCTION
Tourism reflects to an activity which involve movement from one place to another place
by an individual to full fill different needs. There are number of reasons behind travelling of an
individual at domestic and international level such as business, education, social gathering, and
leisure. Domestic tends to movement of person within the boundaries, while international refers
to an individual have wide scope to go out at ample number of nation’s boundaries. Tourism
industry have wide scope to improve their business by influencing more consumer towards their
offerings. This is due to most of the people prefer traveling now a days in order to visit
international destinations. As well the extent of international business is also increases due to
globalisation and that gives opportunity to business to go internationally for operation
simultaneously need of travelling and improve tourism activities (Noori and Ehsan Zadeh, 2017).
Following report cover discussion about interpretation of statistics for accurate presentation of
nature & trends exist at global level, investigate characteristics related to key tourist that
generates area and determine impacts on scale and nature of tourism at global level. Also,
includes discussion about roles and responsibility of key international company towards
development of tourism at global level. Lastly, depicts issues, challenges and threats face by
tourism in future development of industry.

As time pass the nature that is associated with tourism activities is changes continuously.
This is due to changing behaviour & preferences of consumers according to changes occur in
external environment and due to some other dominant features. In past decades, people prefer
travelling only when they wish to accomplish their important work and to get desired objective.
Now, it is evolved totally and people use to go for travelling with so many reasons such as for
spending time with family, for social gathering, with business purpose etc. at different location.
This demonstrate due to changing in external business environment the preferences, trends of
individual is also changes and like to consume those services which are different from previous
one and make them happy. The study of these trends and preferences supports several firm to
offer services as per consumer requirements as well as helps them to make changes in existing

strategies that are needed to opt for sustaining in competitive world long time. The Statistics
presented blow shows the trends nature in global level tourism in context of concentration on
aspects such as revenue generation, flow of visitors, market shares and arrivals are as follow:
National tourism
It has been found by researcher survey that is conducted with relevance to tourism sector
of UK 2018 is that due to large number of option available for consumers, around 39 % people
prefer to do booking at last moment. Also, same will offer safety over cancellation risk. This
clearly represents the number of people within UK increasing day to day who prefer to do
booking at last moments and this is because of evolution of advanced technologies (Brandão,
Breda and Costa, 2019). Presently, UK is a nation where large number of visitors come over a
year and enjoy the place. In year 2019, around 3.6 million people come across different
boundaries and visit UK. With the help of mentioning trends, “last moment booking”, there is
about 9 % increment in visitors from last year and the amount that is spend by tourist to tourism
was about 2.3 billion pounds and gives a huge amount of contribution in development of

International tourism
In the world there are number of famous destination that visit by ample number of
visitors in a year both domestic and international place. Under this, the number of international
travellers are more than the domestic (Beirman, 2020). Further that contributes their significant
amount towards development and enhancement in economy of nation. The most famous place
that visit by number of tourist in year 2017 were Europe, Middle East, America and Africa. In
recent period, the number is constantly increases due to emergences education and ecological
trends at worldwide level. It was determined that the revenue generate by tourism industry at
global level from tourist in year 2018 was about 1.4 trillion pounds from educational and
ecological tours.

In tourism industry there are two type of destination one is tourist generating and
receiving. The main difference between these two is that in generating destinations, attractions

Demographic: This tends to a feature that is related with demographic beauty or
advancement that is committed with some specific destination like in US Las Vegas, is a place
which is famous foe night life as well as for casinos (Rogerson and Rogerson, 2017). Therefore
these are the reason that people visit that place and enjoy nigh life there.
Economy: This is another feature that is linked with the advancement in economy of
specific destination such as London is the main part of UK in term of economy. In London
number of famous place are present and that influences ample visitors of different boundaries
and spend huge amount. Therefore, they collect different currency and significantly contributes
towards development of economy of nation. This is the reason of ravelling of visitors as well as
wishes to see commercialisation development of destination place.

Climate: This is attached with the natural beauty of some specific destination place such
as Niagara Fall which is well known as largest water fall and it creates elegant view & cinematic
weather that attracts so many tourist.
Culture: This is the feature that is liked with culture and way of living standard of
different destination place and this factors influence so many tourist. For instance, India is that
place where so many people gather at one place in order to d worship together and that is visible
from space.
Impact of emerging economies on nature and scale of tourism at global level:
Emerging economic such as India and Srilanka that puts huge impact on nature and scale
of tourism. Like India bring so many changes in tourism and promote religious, historical and
natural tourism. India has so many place which are unexplored yet and satisfied the needs of
guest. Key markets offer services which full fill the needs and requirements of guest and make
them feel happy. Natural beauties are always are more attractive than man-made year (Scott, Hall
and Gössling, 2019).

The development of any global tourism is not possible without involvement of any
significant factor either it would be natural or manmade. Under this, it is the responsibility of
management team of any tourism organisation to form effective strategies and factors that
influence more potential guest and enhance the image at market where they can gain sustainable
growth in future. These factors in context of both receiving and generating tourism destination
are mentioned below:
Factors that plays significant role in growth of generating areas:
Eiffel tower is one famous place that is the example of generating areas as it is man-made
and a also a successful destination place in order to attract great number of tourist and due to
which pose a title of continues growth over a period of time. Reason / factor that are associated
with it is the beauty structure, height 320 m and pose title of tallest building that is made by man

towards this destination. Another reason the people love to visit this place is that it permit
visitors to climb 2 level by stairs and another 1 by lift. It offers opportunity to tourist that they

visitors visit this place each day and expand their experiences of tourism.
Factors that plays significant role in growth of receiving areas:
Niagara fall is an example of receiving destination and a well-known water fall as well as
famous for its natural beauty. The elegant beauty of this water fall attract large number of tourist
and give them a good experiences. Factor that influence visitors is that combination of three
waterfall together and made a one big and large waterfall (Têtu, Dawson and Lasserre, 2019).
Those attached water fall are Horseshoe, Bridal veil and American fall. This is an outstanding

with relevance to these firm are as follow:
UNTWO- The main role that is performed by the respective organisation is to provide

is to upgrade the knowledge of individuals so that they will able to survive in competitive and

every growing organisation in travel industry with unequalled passion and knowledge related
with the Latin America. The number of firm that are associated with this organisation are more
than 350 that includes tourism boards, airlines, hotels, tour operators, representation firm and
travel press. Their main aim is to simulate growth within tourism industry towards Latin
America.

P6 Review significant threat, issues & challenges in future development of global tourism.
There are number of threats and issues present and affects the future development of
tourism at global level. This can be understood from below mentioned points:
political issues, government policies, changing perception of people, economic issues,
technological factors and so many other factors are threats & challenges that is faced by tourism
industry in future development of industry s(Fang, 2020). All these hold significant impact and
that are as follow:
These issues create an acquaintance to explore proposals that pose a threat to the global
tourism industry.
These challenges/ issues are important for this industry as these assist them in
development of a sustainable solution and further that can develop industry in future.
Apart from these, another importance of threat in the global tourism industry is that it

overcome this threat company needs to opt all these measure that provide safety to visitors.
Therefore, in future it become beneficial for company to bring measure that help to enhance
safety and tourism trust. Likewise, due to lack of technologies people are not interested in
travelling but it offer chance to tourism industry that they have to bring more number of option
that satisfied the needs of consumers and make them happy.
Recommendation to government and international organisation are as follow:
Government of different nation impose various legislation for tourism industry and it is vital for
all companies to adhere all legislation for smooth running of business operation. Law and
legislation that is related with the development of industry provide safety to business unit related
with protecting interest of consumer along with their services. For instance- a law related with
the rights of tourist must be developed as it assist in escaping challenges and threats of society
and social norms within tourism industry (Cornelissen, 2017). Further, it is recommended to
international organisation that they need to primal focus on reduction of environment damage
that is caused by tourist/ visitors. With relevance to this company need to formulate some strict
rules and policies that ensure safeguard of environment. Therefore, it will elude challenges and
threat of environment damage caused by visitors.

From above discussed report it can be concluded that in current period individual are more
prefer international tourism due to which the scope of tourism activities are wider. Factors such
as technology, culture & safety have huge impacts on development of tourism activities. To
