INTRODUCTION
Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors across the global periphery. Global tourism
can be referred to as cross national travelling of individuals (Cornelissen, 2017). Global tourism
facilitates effective understanding of different cultures. The report is based upon the preparations
done by a major travel and tourism consulting organisation to present information in front of
decision makers from National Tourist Boards representing tourism destinations at a conference
in London. In this report, formative discussion has been made on global tourism nature and scale
at international level. In addition with this, report includes significant growth of emerging
markets and tourists destination. Further in this report issues, threats and challenges that has been
faced by global tourism industry is being described along with government and international
companies those who manages tourism development with their issues.

Interpretation of statistics to accurately present an overview of the nature and trends of tourism
on global scale
Tourism is a leading and fastest-growing industry and acts as key essential economic
source of a country. It has been determined that there is a significant increase in number of
tourist and it keeps of growing from years to years. Tourism involves unique form of
composition of tangible and intangible experiences that are encountered by tourists. By the
passing of time tourists are changing their tend towards, destinations and pleasure and leisure.
Trends are termed as general direction that determined that significant development is occurring
in sector. Trends include different types of aspects such as long term, short term and
intermediate.
As per predicted data of World Tourism Organisation, there will be a significant rise of
1.6 billion tourist arrivals by the end of the year 2020. It has been acknowledged that 8% of total
world employment has been provided by tourism industry along with 11% of global GDP.
Global tourism statistics trends and flow
There are number of trends in travel and tourism that further involve different aspects that
include market share expenditure, visitors flow, revenue generation and more. Proper evaluation
is done by analysing all related form of international as well as national tourism. There are some
