INTRODUCTION
Global tourism is basically that tourism that crosses the boundaries of nations and it
includes travelling and staying in places outside the their usual environment for leisure, business
or any other purposes. With the development of concept of globalisation, international or global
tourism is also becoming a popular global leisure activity (Brondoni, 2016). The government and
other organisation are also making efforts for enhancing global tourism as it is having an
important contribution in economic growth of nation. It creates better job opportunities and also
provide a source of income for local people of the nation.
This report includes interpretation of statistics to accurately present an overview of
nature and trends of tourism on global sale. Beside this, an investigation of characteristics of key
tourist generating areas of world is also made. Reasons for growth of key global tourism
generating areas are also made. A comparison and contrast between range of emerging global
tourism and destination life cycle is also included. Further, this report also consist role and
responsibility of international organisations in development of global tourism. Finally, a review
on significance of various threats, issues and challenges to future development of global tourism
is also made.

The popularity of global tourism is increasing day by day thus many new trends and
nature are also developing. The new trend which are shown in travel and tourism sector to attain
rapid growth includes following :
Use of internet: With the increasing use of internet it become much easy for customers
to get information about new packages and destinations offered by any travel agent thus, it
encourage them to plan a tour at some beautiful destinations (Cornelissen, 2017). It has also
reduced the barriers of boundaries of nation thus, lead to better development of global tourism.
Online information collection- With the improvement in technology it become easy for
travel agents to get information about customers who likes travelling thus, they can approach
them easily with use of internet and social made thus, target market for travel agents has
increased with online information collection.
