■ Tourism industry refers to the sum of all
businesses which directly offers products and
services in order to facilitate pleasure, business
as well as leisure activities apart from the
environment of home.
■ It has been seen that, in recent times it has
affected badly due to the COVID 19 pandemic
as in many countries all these services have
stopped in order to reduce the spread of
Coronavirus.

areas.
■ Over millions of people are affected with the effect of this virus as well
as among them most of the people lost their life, family members, jobs
and many other which effected their financial, physical and mental
conditions
■ During the time of pandemic, it has been seen that the most of the
people did not fulfil their basic needs which automatically contain them
below poverty line. Many people lost their jobs for that reason they lost
their life due to hunger.

there is entry bans and travel restrictions such as people from outside
the country did not allow to entry without negative report.

services which reduces their economy from huge percentag
■ In airlines industry, COVID has great impact because of decimation in
demand among tourists and travellers as well as travel restrictions
across the globe
■ The domestic and international flights were suspended and run in very
limited manner which leads to decrease in revenue of this industry.
■ As the Global report, it is determined that the contribution of airlines
industry in the economy or GDP is down by more than 50 percentage
on past few years which slow down the growth.

many other firms which provide food, beverages and
accommodations services to the traveller, tourist and people
of local areas.

there is so much changes in protocols or day to day activities
of people or firms regarding hygiene and safety.
■ As hospitality firms must bring changes in their polices and
add new like give more focus on hygiene and cleanness, PP
kits for staff members, vaccinations, maintain social
distancing and sanitizers while contracting with others.

■ From the above presented information, it has been concluded that,
tourism industry has massively contribution in the generation of
employment, GDP among the whole world. It has been analysis that
the Global tourism affected a lot from the COVID 19 due to travel
restrictions and various rules or regulation of government regarding
social distancing, sanitisers and many more.
■ In hospitality tourism, many organisation has shut down permanently
because they failed to bear the cost of operations or other materials. It
also affected the health of people along with create fear among them
for that they avoid to travel outside their country which leads to
decrease in profitability of transportation.
