The world should change to a vegetarian diet to solve the global warming crisis
Vegetarianism is a concept which promotes eating plant related food items in daily diets
and excluding meats and other animal derived eatables except dairy products. As being in favour
of statement that World should change to vegetarian diet in order to solve global warming crisis.
It has been found that the critical scenario of global warming is increasing at very tremendous
rate which has adversely impacted human kind on earth. Shifting to Vegetarian diet can be one
of the major remedial solution that can control impact of global warming. . Apart from this, there
are certain positive health effects which a human body can observe by adopting this diet such as
lower body weight, low health risk (Plant-based diets could save millions of lives and
dramatically cut greenhouse gas emissions, 2016.). It also includes several other reasons which
provide support to statement with the help of arguments and evidences.
Andrew Jarvis of Colombia's International centre has stated that, in every developed
country, shifting towards vegetarian diet can lead to solve various problems which are related to
environmental as well as health. . Firstly, they examined changes in climatic condition. As there
are only 80percent of pastures land that are available will be restored that will be very beneficial
for surrounding in order to support a greener environment. Also, fellow researcher Marco
Springmann at Oxford Martin School expressed that, if the world becomes vegetarian by 2050,
then emission generated due to processing of meat will drop by 60 percent. On the other side
opponent stated that, with elimination of meat there will be an uncontrollable increase in
livestock that would lead to generate a problematic scenario. Apart from this, those individuals
who are associated with livestock’s would have to find new jobs for which they might require
effective training . Also, there will be a negative impact on biodiversity. He also claimed that
environmental restoration and their conversion towards plant- based agriculture will require
effective planning and investment. Despite the facts shared in evidences, it has been denoted that
it is important to maintain balance between both perspective as minimization of any of the
entity can lead to effect the food chain which will directly impact ecological cycle. For example
(Becoming vegetarian 'can harm the environment', 2010)More importantly investigator have
analysed that, there is no need to change the entire world into vegetarianism for reaping several
benefits as limiting its repercussions.
Researcher has stated that there are various economic advantages which can be derived
from changes in dietary aspects. Further, it has been founded that adopting vegetarianism can
