Communication:- There are many communication tools that are essential for the researcher in
order to collect and interpret the findings. For Collecting appropriate data with effectiveness
researcher used following methods of communication:-
In order to have good understanding of different research topics, researcher will take help
of thesis and journals as this medium helped in understanding various topics(Rosenberg,
and Chopra, 2015). Researcher also used different digital mediums and electronic modes in order to collect
the data effectively that is with the help of emails and different social media platforms.
Risk management:- While conducting the research, there are many risk involved for the
researcher and these risk have to evaluated effectively. For the present research, different types
of risk involved are as following:-

Research approach and methodologies
There are different research approach and methodologies that are involved in the present
research and are as following:-
Research Type: There are two types of research that is qualitative and quantitative
research. In qualitative research non-numerical data is been collected while, in
quantitative research numerical data is collected. In the present report, researcher have
used both the types of research as data was collected with the help of different mail
surveys and internet based surveys and also with the help of different case
studies(Quinlan and et.al., 2019).
Research Approach: There are two types of research approach that is inductive and
deductive research. Inductive approach includes multiple premises and it is qualitative
research that involve some predictions and theories for carrying the research. On the
other hand, deductive approach is quantitative research that starts with a hypothesis. For
the present research project, researcher have used both the approaches that is inductive
and deductive.
Research Philosophy: Research philosophies are of two types that is Positivism and
interpretivism. Positivism philosophy is based on quantitative method of doing research
that is with the help of surveys and questionnaire. On the other hand interpretivism
philosophy includes qualitative method like social research, unstructured interviews. In
order to carry the respective research project, researcher have used both positivism and
interpretivism philosophies(Yusuf, Adams and Dingley, 2016).

Data Analysis: There are two ways to analyse the data that is with qualitative analysis
and qualitative analysis. Quantitative data analysis refers to numerical analysis where
statistical method is been used to analyse the data. On the other hand, qualitative data
analysis is where respective data is understood with the help of observation. Researcher
have used both the types of data analysis as data was analysed with the help of pie charts,
bar graphs and also with different SPSS tools.
Ethical Consideration: It is very important part to have ethical considerations in
research project. For the present research, the researcher worked to follow different ethics

Qualitative Analysis
Theme 1:- Advantages of Globalisation for Sainsbury's and its impacts with respect to economic,
cultural and ethical aspects
According to Rani, Ismail and Mohamed (2018) Sainsbury's is having huge growth and
evolution of Globalisation that brings great opportunity for the organisation. It is helping the
organisation to spread its goods and services in global market and that results rise of economy.
Globalisation is creating inter-dependency of different countries and organisation and for the
same effective transportation facility have helped out in many ways. Different trade policies have
increased the globalisation and that resulted in economic growth of nation. Globalisation also
have increased income of employees that results in overall economic growth of different
countries.
Ribas-Mateos (2017) argues that Globalisation have raised competition for Sainsbury's
and as interdependency of countries have increased, it affected Sainsbury's in many ways.
Sainsbury's also faces labour migration as there are many employees and labours that are getting
better wages and salaries in global market. This also affects the economic condition of nation.
Bende-Nabende (2017) stated that there are different advantages of Globalisation for
Sainsbury's as it helps the organisation to bring cross cultural communication with other nations
so that they can have positioning in global market with the acceptance of its product and
services. Cultural acceptance brings competitive advantage to business function of Sainsbury's.

However, Cleveland and et.al., (2016) argues Globalisation is affecting the cultural
aspects of the nation as well as Sainsbury's. There are many other culture in global market that
are dominating Sainsbury's working culture and affects the homogeneous culture of Sainsbury's.
There are many organisations at global level that have taken positioning in nation with respect to
their culture and products and dominated Sainsbury's product offerings that affects business
function of the organisation.
According to Murtaza and et.al., (2016) there are different work ethics that Sainsbury's is
following and due to globalisation these work ethics have enhanced in Sainsbury's culture. There
are different CSR activities in which Sainsbury's participates and that help the organisation to
raise its ethical standards. It also leads to more jobs and better living standard of employees.
Kakabadse and Bank (2018) argues that Globalisation is making the work ethics poor as
it becomes tough for Sainsbury's to make the employees influence to work in there organisation
as all are getting better job options in global market. Globalisation is also leading to cheaper
price of Sainsbury's products and this affects the organisational profitability. Lack of rules and
regulation is also increasing as exploitation of employees is rising.
Theme 2:- Different challenges of Globalisation and effective strategies for Sainsbury's
According to Petschow and et.al., (2017) there are different challenges that Sainsbury's
faces related to economic dependency and company have to deal with this challenge in order to
have competitive advantage for the firm. As Sainsbury's is dependent on global market in order
to extract raw material and also to have potential labour for the firm. Its inter-dependency have
increased over the year and for the same Sainsbury's invest in huge amount. In order to make its
products recognisable in global market, organisation faces challenges as it is tough for them to
accept other countries culture and then provide the offerings.
In contradiction to this Li (2016) stated that Sainsbury's have to adopt effective strategies
in order to overcome these challenges that is having effective relation with the suppliers. By
having new technology implementation in its work culture, customers get attracted towards the
offerings and this leads to competitive advantage for Sainsbury's business functions.
