MAIN BODY
P1 Explain project aim and objective
Background of the Study
Demand for the women product in the market has seen a very good rise in the past few
years as the awareness of the product is successfully promoted in the global market. Footwear is
the one of the product which has seen a good rise in the demand. As women are the gender
which used to drive the 70-80 percent of the purchasing in the market as a result it will be
beneficial for the company to produce a woman product and specially footwear. As women is the
multiple marketer it will be beneficial for the company to produce a product with a multiple uses
as it will attract more women toward the product as summer shoe offers a multiple uses to the
women as summer shoe can be used for multiple occasion like for office, party, days, evenings
uses (Ettlie and Hira, 2018). As the women are the multiple marketer they always look to buy the
product with top quality and as company is looking to produce the product with the top quality
leather and raw material it will be beneficial for the company to target the women for their
product and it will also help the company in getting competitive advantage. At the same time it
has been also observed that it is difficult for the organisation to attract the attention of the women
as compare to the men as women find it difficult to leave their previous brand and it may impact
the performance of the product in the market as it will require the company to have the best
marketing strategy to promote the awareness of the product in the eye of the women.
Aim
“To analyses the market factors that are considered by business at the time launching new
summer shoe to attain competitive advantage”
Objectives

Document Page
· To understand conceptual framework of consumer behaviour for new products
· To examine the relationship between product designing or features on consumer behaviour
· To analyses the impact of new product on competitiveness of Company
· To suggest strategies which will be considered by Company for product designing and launch
of new summer shoe (Almeida and Chase-Dunn, 2018).
Research Question
Q1. How would you understand the conceptual framework for the new product?
Q2. How would you determine the relationship between product designing and feature of the
product?
Q3. How would you examine the impact of new product with other company product?
Q4. What suggestion would you like to give to the Company for the purpose of product
designing and new product launch?
P2 Explain the Project Management Plan for the project
A project management plan develops the plan related to all the inputs that are required by
the project team to complete the research. A project management plan is an approved formal
document that defines how the research will be executed and controlled. In the proper planning it
consists of all the information about managing operation and how the objective will be meet. It is
important for the project manager to incorporate the cost, scope, communication, quality, time
and the scope in the planning of the project to achieved the required results with efficiency and
effectiveness.
Cost-Effective allocation of the resources should be done by the managers so that no
problems should arise. Managing the cost for this report is complicated as the funds are
more required more the set of the premises' approx to the cost of £300 approval. The
designing of the shoes to the effective level required the labour cost and the material cost
required the budget of £300. For the successful representation of the footwear's around
£150 is required to hire the models. For the estimates of the uncertainty the amount of
£100 has been kept as the provision. The research cost is approximated around £50.This
helps in managing the project well (Haynes, 2016).
Scope – the included scope defines that due to the uniqueness of the product, the scope
are very high as the product have the consistent quality with provide maximum customer

satisfaction. The quality of the product will compete the bit footwear brands by reaching
out the satisfaction of there targeted customer. The launching of the product will also
increase the income. The excluded scope of the project plan consist of the contract
agreement for using premises are not signed or the quality of the shoes see are
approximated.
Time- Managers are required to divide the task into sub task as the effective utilization of
the funds and resources can be done to increase the effectiveness of the project planning.
Effective time management by appropriate scheduling. The research will take the time
period of 60 days starting from date September 9,2019 and finishes off by November 4,
2019. The London fashion week has been scheduled on 16-20 November (Turner and
Holton,,2015).
Quality- the quality of the project has been the essential part. To ensure the quality of the
project managers look after all the data involved and the research methodology used to
perform the research. Due to these managers will get the help to meet the objective of
project by drawing the valid conclusion.
Communication- it is required to have the proper communication between the team
members, project sponsor and the quality team so that there must be the co-ordination
which minimizes the degree of error in the successful completion of the research. The
success criteria will be the positive outcome and feedback from the customer. Initial
goals should be achieved to measure the success factors.
Resources-for the successful completion of the project the researcher required various
resources such as the technical, physical and the human resources. The proper utilization
of the resource by the mangers will make the project complete with time (Provencher,
2016).
For the completion of this project major assumption has been taken-
Buying /selling of the footwear will be done to gain the money against the investment.
Business is done for the profit maximization.
The event will be attained by the sufficient customers.
The event will be successfully organised.

P3 Produce Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and grant chart
Work Breakdown Structures
It is a graphical presentation of the task in which leader used to make a chart in which
task or project are illustrated and divided and relationship between different group are fixed as a
whole project.
It is the process based function in which leader or manager used to derive key objective
and on the basis of the key objective task are identified to reach prescribe goal. WBS used to be
in the tree shape diagram in which on top there is a “Trunk” which is followed by “Branches”
below. In simple word it is a well structured flow chart (Taşbaşı, Sarıca and Yüksel, 2019 ).
Gantt Chart
As a name suggest it is a chart which describes and illustrate the proper schedule of the
chart as this chart list the task which has to be performed in the vertical and horizontal axis on
the fixed time interval. Grant chart is generally used in the case where one task immediately
starts at the end of the previous task.

P4 Explain different type of research methodology
Research methodology can be defined as a tool which assists an organisation in carrying
out its operations in flawless manner. Research methodology is carried out through
implementation of various tools and techniques. It addresses each question separately thus
creating a clear understanding for the researcher. The different tools and techniques used are :-

Research Philosophy :- The mode and methods used for collecting information by the researcher
can be termed as research philosophy. There are two major classifications of philosophies used
for different research project types : positivism and interpretivism. Positivism is a method
focusing on hypothesis formulation for researching about the topic. Whereas, interpretivism
focuses on qualitative aspect and involves implementation of models and theories. This helps in
accumulation of facts and figures relating to human tendency and generates actual i.e. real
figures and data. For conducting the present research, interpretivism philosophy has been used in
this report. Use of this philosophy has facilitated collection of qualitative information regarding
the summer collection of footwear and impact of the comfort level associated with it that the
women customers seek (Sharma and Bharti, 2017).
Research type
Qualitative and quantitative are two main types of researches, qualitative researches are
the studies in which scholar uses theories and models in order to find out the results. Scholar
does not involve any kind of statistical data into qualitative studies whereas quantitative are
another type in which researchers uses facts, figures, statistics in order to measure the results. In
the current study scholar has used qualitative research type and has applied theories in order to
understand the concept.
Research Design :- Research design involves three different categories in which it can be
conducted. Descriptive research, Exploratory research and Causal research. Descriptive research
is the one where characteristics of the population is studied. It involves techniques like
observation method; survey and case study analysis rather than formulation of hypothesis. In this
report, the researcher has used descriptive research design to conduct the study and outline the
method in which research has to be conducted. This will facilitate the researcher in analysing
each element related to comfort level of the footwear launched by Company for their summer
collection and its impact on the buying behaviour of the targeted customer behaviour. This has
facilitated in conducting research as per the required aims and objectives formulated.
Research Approach :- For conducting a research study, it is imperative to determine the manner
in which the research shall be conducted. The two ways of conducting a research are inductive
approach and deductive approach. Inductive approach involves implementation of models rather
than formulation of hypothesis for conducting the research. This is mainly used for qualitative
8

research. Deductive approach on the other hand is a technique where hypothesis is formulated by
the researcher. It is usually applied on those reports which involve quantitative analysis. Since
the researcher basically assessing facts rather than figures, the approach is that one which is
suitable for evaluation of qualitative data and hence the researcher has used inductive technique
for evaluation of data (Ettlie and Hira, 2018).
Data Collection :- the major part of conducting research is collection of those facts and figures
i.e. that information which is relevant for carrying out the research and hence formulate the
relevant conclusions and findings. The data collected should be both relevant and meaningful.
There are two sources for collection of data primary method and secondary method. Primary
method involves those tools and techniques in which the researcher himself collects all the
relevant data by interacting with the samples consumers selected. Interview method,
questionnaire etc are the methods used in collecting data. Secondary data collection method
involves studying the already researched data which is relevant to the study. Here, that data is
analysed which has already been researched and involves study of journals, books and websites
which are relevant. In this research both primary and secondary data have been used for
conducting research (Haynes, 2016).
Sampling :- Selection of those sample which are relevant for conducting the study out of the
entire population is called sampling. It is an essential part in carrying research and must be
selected in precise manner so that correct conclusion and findings can be made. Here, in the
present research, the researcher has applied the method of random sampling for collection of its
samples. In this, the researcher selects sample on a random basis and does not have any criteria
for their selection and removes any biasness involved. The selected sample involves 25 women
residing in U.K. They will provide the relevant data and the impact which the comfort level of
the shoes has on the buying behaviour of the females.
Data Analysis :- After accumulating all the relevant data for conducting the research, analysis
i.e. systematic study is conducted by the researcher on the collected data so that relevant
conclusions can be made. Here, in this report the researcher has used thematic analysis technique
for presentation of information in effective manner. Thematic analysis involves formulation of
different themes for analysis of the information collected by breaking it down into different parts
and then building up tables and charts for interpretation so that conclusions can be formed easily
and appropriate recommendations can be made.
9
Document Page
Ethical Consideration :- Ethical consideration is the crucial element in carrying out the present
research for identification of the impact that the comfort provided by shoes has on the buying
behaviour of their targeted customer base. The various ethical aspects involved in the research
carried out involve consent of all the individuals selected in the sample size affirming that they
have not been forced. It also involves declaration that the researcher did not force them to speak
on a particular topic or prioritize one factor over another. Lastly, declaration that the research has
not been copied from anywhere and the work done is original is made (Provencher, 2016).
P5 Explain data and research using different tools and technique

Interpretation-As form the following data, it can be interpreted that the more of the respondents
are willing to spend mid range of price on the pair of summer sandal. The consumer is more
focused on the price and want the better comfort in this season. Many of the respondent move
towards the lower price ranging from £100-£200. It simply means that the target customer are
more easy to spend in price range from the lower to the mid level. Very fewer people are
interested to spend more than the mid range. So the company has to put the pricing of the
summer sandals between the range of the respondents.

Document Page
Interpretation-As from the following data it can be interpreted that the respondents are more
influences by the offerings of the major brands. As the major number of the respondents likely to
believe that the major brands are more satisfying. The most of the respondents may be the brand
loyal customers and barely introduced something in there evoked set. They only used to prefer
the branded footwear for there comfort purpose. Fewer respondents are unbiased about there
opinions. So the company has to place the promotion strategy in effective way to promote there
product in target market against the big brand (Sharma and Bharti, 2017).

Document Page
Interpretation-As from the following data it can be interpreted that the most of the respondents
are more likely to prefer the mid heel sandals rather than the other footwear. They find this more
comfortable as compare to other variety of the footwear. Flat sandals are also the second most
preferred by the respondents. The Least interest was calculated in the high heels. So the
company has to launch the product in such a variety of the mid and flat heels to target the market
segment. Costumers are more preferring the comfortable variety of the footwear.
P6 Recommendation from the result and conclusion from the data analysis
Recommendation
From the above analysis it can be recommend that the maximum emphasis should be pay
on the middle age women as the target market. The company should understand the there market
will be the middle age women varying the age of 25-35. So the company have to place the
promotional strategies in such a way that is target this category.
Mainly respondent are the preferring the leather fabric in the footwear so, the company should
use the leather material for the foot wears designing. In the terms of the pattern the consumer
behaviour is paying more emphasis on the mid heel sandal as they consider this pattern as more
comfortable and stylish according to the season. From the analyses of the data it can easily be
stated that the price of the product marketed by the company should vary the range of between
£200-£300. There are many consumers in the target market who are brand loyal, so the company
has to promote the product with best pricing and promotional strategies.

According to the these research report it is clearly defines that the target segment of the company
has may requirement that are needed to be fulfil by the company. If the company does not pay
attention on the finding of the research report, there may be the chance of the failure of the
product. The company has to understand the needs and the requirement of the customer and then
the product designing should be there. Hence, the research report will help the company to
analysis the market understand the need of the customer.
P7 Explain value to undertake the research
This topic has helped the company to understand the validity of the product which
company is intending to introduce into the market as report has shown the company the
importance of the product and benefit which will be enjoyed by the organisation after launching
the new product in the market. Topic has also helped the company to evaluate the data which
was gathered from the questionnaire in such a manner that on the basis of that company can
make different strategy in the organisation for smooth launching of the product and to promote
the product in the market.
I am as a researcher is able to increase my evaluation skill as through it I was able to evaluate the
data in more proficient way as it has helped me in seeing the different aspect of the data and it
has also helped me in increasing my knowledge as it has provided me variety of knowledge
related to the report research and I think it will help me in defending the challenges which will be
faced by me in the future (Turner and Holton,,2015).
CONCLUSION
After going through above report it has been summarised that there is a very good market for the
Company to introduce their product as there is a very good demand of the product in the market. It has
been also summarised that the data gathered from questionnaire is also very relevant to the product which
