Initially, globalism and globalization were viewed as a process thatwill benefit all the nations' economies. Globalization was promoted by factors such astechnological advancements, the growth of global media, political activities, reduced nationaltariffs, information, transport and communication facilities and industrial organization.Globalization has brought about many benefits including, the spread of technology, a newmarket for products and services, improved quality of products. It has led to specialization,cooperation between countries, erosion of unethical cultures and practices, improved healthcare,education, reduction of international poverty, the creation of jobs, improved standards of livingand also helping to improve the profitability of many companies. Globalism and globalizationhave some disadvantages which include increased competition, erosion of cultures and practices,the spread of terrorism and negative impact on taxation.Globalization and globalism should a social and moral responsibility to ensure that the rights ofconsumers, customers, and other countries are not violated in the process of transacting business.The consumers should not be exploited by Multinational Corporation. Globalization shouldensure there is accountability for all business practices. Developed nations benefit more fromglobalization process than developing nations.The global business environment has enabled countries to have a new market for their products,the spread of technology, job creation, specialization, countries can enjoy economies of scale andscope and improved customer satisfaction due to quality products. The global businessenvironment has had the risk of killing economies of many nations, hindering industrializationprocess, increasing interdependence and spread of terrorism.

Handling globalization effectively can help to develop a countries economy and assistin sustainability development. Poor handling of globalism and globalization can damage thrivingactivities because it has disadvantages. Globalization is defined as the process of integration thatenables free movement of people, ideas, capital, goods, services technology, and information.Globalization has been brought about by advancements in transport means andtelecommunication facilities (mcmichael, 2013, p.1340).Globalism, on the other hand, refers toplanning economic developments and foreign policies in an international way. This report iswritten to highlight globalization and globalism and their effects in the business environment, theprocess of international integration, challenges facing globalization and benefits and risks facingglobal business environment.The process of international integration.There several factors that have helped in promoting international integration. Some of the factorsinclude;Transport, information technology, and communication.The revolution of transport and communication modes and means has promoted globalization toa higher extend. Transport revolution which has led to the development of jet, airplanes, steamships and other has enabled individuals to travel all over the world (Jaumotte, et al.2013, p.290).This has helped to bridge the space between nations and also reducing the time spent movingfrom one nation to another to carry out economic activities. Information technology revolutionhas facilitated easy sharing of information and ideas. This led to spread of innovative ideas thathelped to promote globalization.
