Ans. CULTURAL GLOBALIZATION
Globalization is the process of integration and interaction between companies, people and
governments worldwide. The reason behind the rapid growth of globalization is advancement in
communication and transportation technology (Giddens 2018). The growth of international trade
comes with the increased growth of global interactions, culture, trade and ideas. There are
mainly five dimensions of globalization including social, cultural, economic, environmental and
political.
The concept of cultural globalization refers to the spread and communication of ideas,
values and meanings around the entire world in such a way that they deepen and prolong social
relations. The common utilization of cultures has been spread out by the internet, international
travel and popular culture media. The ancient methods of carrying cultural meaning such as
colonization and commodity exchange have been enriched by the modern processes (Pieterse et
al.2015). Cultural globalization has enabled people to get involved in an extended social relation
irrespective of national and regional borders. It accentuates the interconnectedness among
various cultures and populations. It should be also kept in mind that such cultural relations
cannot be seen or measured on a material level.
Cultural globalization occurs in everyday life and it is a trend which will bring all the
human experiences and customs together. A range of modern digital technologies contribute to
bring people belonging to different cultures into one. Cross –cultural exchanges are allowed by
