Grassroots lobbying refers to the practice of the campaigns against the political issues of
a country or a government. The grassroots lobbying are usually practiced in order to understand
and decode the practiced legislation on a particular subject or product or practice. The grassroots
lobbying is a campaign in orientation, therefore, thus it is distinct from the direct lobbying, and
since it involves a campaigning, therefore, it can be understood that it involves general public
into its approaches (Richan). Therefore, in the following essay, a grassroots lobbying is
presented, upon the rising prices of the health care costs in America. The essay will include a
discussion on the reasons behind the rising prices of the health care costs and the political
reasoning involved behind this will also be mentioned, as the aim of the essay is to create an
awareness among the public regarding the rising expenses.
The Centres for Medicare and Medicaid Services have recently published a report on the
health care spending and expense have provided a detailed statistical analysis of the recent
pricing analysis of the increase in the prices of the health care programs, and costs. Therefore,
the reports has stated that the pricing of the health care costs are expected to increase in 5.5% in
the next decade, which makes it, a rise till $6 trillion in 2027 than $3.5 trillion than 2017, and the
report has shown that the spending in the health care sector is expected to grow faster than the
GDP of the country (Howard et al., 2015).

The government health care programs are also expected to grow at an annual rate of 7.4
% and the Medicaid is said to be growing at a rate of 48% per year. Therefore, the health care
insurance will be expecting a double increase in the next decade, and thus, it is claimed that the
health care economy of the country, will gain be contributing till 44% in the total economy of the
country (DiMasi, Henry and Hansen).
