INTRODUCTION Business function are termed out as the activities that carried out by an enterprise to accomplish the core and support functions within the enterprise (Cagle, Yılmaz and Doğru, 2020 ). In addition to this, business function are categorised as operation, production, finance and marketing. Therefore, present report is based on business activities of Tesco, it is global leading brand that is engaged in grocery services as being supermarket chain across the world. MAIN BODY Marketing This is termed out as the process that inclusive of researching, selling, promoting and distributing the product and services. In addition to this, marketing satisfies the needs and wants with help of exchanging the process and also assist to build the long term relationships within Tesco. Finance It is type of business function that undertakes the process as to providing the funds for business activities and makes the purchasing and investigating (Podder, Samanta and Gurunath, 2020). Therefore, the main finance requirements are as purchase assets, goods, raw materials and other flow of economic activities. The main role of this department is to arrange the funds to cope with the needs of enterprise. Human resource It is another business function that plays the huge role in terms to define both the individual who works for the company and organisation that is responsible for managing resource in relation to employees. Therefore, Human resource staff is responsible for recruit, select and train employees to undertake the future course of actions effectively and efficiently. Thus, human resource department is charged with finding, screening, recruiting and training to job applicants to bring strategic approach within Tesco(Bogachkova, Usacheva and Usachev, 2017). Operation It is business function that is responsible for managing the procedure in relation to creation of good and services. This is inclusive of planning, organising, controlling and coordinating the business activities.
How business functions links Henceforth, this can be stated that all business function to the enterprise are interlinked to each other. Thus, working of the Tesco is interrelated to each business functions such as marketing, operations, finance and human resource etc. Output of the one department is overall dependent on the input of another working enterprise(Arvanitis, Hollenstein and Stucki, 2016). Thus, finance department works as to systematic flow of funds so they can arrange the funds for all other department to run out the operations without any interruption. Human resource department aids to investigate the skilled personal that required by each department with specific skills that suitable for working. Also, HR department frame out the rules and regulation so that all other department performs the business functions effectively. Marketing department directs the operation department to undertake the operation activities effectively as per the needs of customer’s in market (Macchi, Savino and Roda, 2020). As this unit inclusive of function to manage the day to day running. So, this can be true to say that all business function of Tesco are interrelated to each other. CONCLUSION Hereby, it can be summarized that business function aids to promote the growth to the enterprise. Thus, present report is based on the business activities of Tesco. Also, assignment has covered the business function that aids to demonstrate the interrelation within business functions.
