I have completed my graduation in Nursing and want to pursue an MS degree
in nursing at Kaplan University to gain more specialised knowledge and experience.
Therefore, I want to pursue the course of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Certificate (AGAC-NP), an advanced graduate program which will allow me to learn the
management of acutely ill surgical, medical and critical care patient as well as working in an
inter-professional care team. I am the best fit for the course because I have experience of
working as a nurse for few months and the course will help me in focusing on developing of
skills of catering to acute care patients on location. From this program, the ability of direct
care management can be acquired that will further enhance my abilities and skills on a
professional level. The University offers courses for adults by providing a flexible learning
environment to attain high-quality education. As a working professional, I am apt for this
course, as the values and program will help me in gaining and delivering the best possible
quality care to the patients.
My pursuit of an MS in Nursing and future career plans align with Kaplan
University to the fullest. It offers an educational opportunity to the registered nurse allowing
them to continue working along with this course thus, supporting my educational aspiration
without the scope of leaving the current job. This will not only help me financially but it will
also help in my practice because the course is directly linked with the training, which allows
in simultaneously using my knowledge in the real world. The university offers the best
standard of education and is referred to as the leaders in adult education; thus providing me
with the most appropriate and focused care planning management, helping me in amplifying
my knowledge and skill. Therefore, it will help me to cater more patients in the surgical and
critical care setting in future. This will support in maintaining work and life balance as well
as enable in the understanding of more focused and person-centred care approach in clinical
practice.
