Description of the organization
Supporting Single Parents is a non-profit organization, which extends their helping
hand to the single parents in terms of providing the much needed care, attention and nutrition
to their children. Collaboration with the other non-profit, public and private organizations
helps the personnel of Support Single Parent to upgrade the standard and quality of the
services. As a matter of specification, the organization is in collaboration with Africano
cultural Services (ACS), which is another non-profit organization, established in United
States (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017). It was started by a single mother in order to help
and support the double work, stress and burden of the mother or father.
Mission
The mission of the organization is to encourage the single parents and invoke their
confidence in terms of bestowing a healthy lifestyle upon their children. The personnel of
Support Single Parent plan to do this through the means of practically educating the single
mothers and fathers. Making use of the latest and modern resources helps the organizational
personnel of Support Single Parent to achieve positive outcomes in terms of proper
development of their children (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017).
Vision
The organizational personnel of Support Single Parent envision the creation of
stronger community feeling among the single parents.
Current programs and activities
The organization volunteers several programs, which assists the single mothers and
fathers to contribute in their children’s development. These programs include- educational
guidance; Back-to-school Drive; Parent Support Network; Holiday Gift Program; creative
