Any undesirable or harmful change in the environment is known as pollution. Due to
large amount of people living in the world, there is high chance of pollution. The present essay
will be based use of graphic animation to help educate people about pollution in the world. In
today's era pollution can be created by human activity like smoke, trash and run-off produced by
factories. Hence, development of graphic animation can help people to understand about how to
handle environmental issues such as pollution and water pollution in the world. We all know that
social media has power to promote anything and especially educate people about any particular
topic. With the help of such kind of platforms, people can help others to take initiatives and help
them to educate more people around the world. By using graphic motion and animated characters
post with accurate information can do wonders (Rodríguez-Eugenio, McLaughlin and Pennock,
2018).
Due to pollution, natural environment has been affected and which damage the quality of
land, water and air. It is necessary to deal with such situation and spread awareness about
environmental issues. In today's world, it is essential to educate people about importance of
natural environment and promote beauty of nature by taking major initiatives. If we spread
awareness about environmental issues then one can participate in creating a brighter future for
young generation (Glencross and et.al., 2020). Nowadays, schools, universities and even
companies is taking initiatives to provide information to other people. It has been said that
spreading awareness about controlling water pollution and pollution is an effective way to
become an environmental steward which helps people to take part in growth of economy.
Impacts of water pollution and pollution on the environment and human health.
Water pollution is one of the most harmful and serious environmental issues which
affects the health of human beings. It is the contamination of water sources by harmful
substances which can make the water polluted and unusable for drinking, bathing, cooking and
other daily routine activities (Speight, 2020). Due to harmful pollutants such as bacteria, trash,
chemicals and others human beings suffered from diseases. Graphic animation is used to
improve plastic waste management because with this content can be created to educate people so
that they can take steps to reduce the amount of plastic entering ocean and rivers.
Almost more than 70% of the surface of earth is covered from water, so it is mandatory
for find out possible solutions to prevent water pollution and other harmful pollutants. Due to

this- river, lake, ocean has to suffer a lot which makes it toxic. There are majorly two types of
water pollution such as organic pollution the reason behind that is microorganisms-viruses-
bacteria which is present in the clean water also if not filtered properly. This pollution also
created from animal waste, Garbage, vegetable waste and others (Hapsari and Hanif, 2019) .
While on the other hand, another type of water pollution is chemical pollution which is generated
by the harmful pesticides, animal drugs, making of heavy metals and materials in the factories,
smoke coming from big industries' create air pollution, acids, nitrates and phosphates and
hydrocarbons which is utilized by industries. In addition to this, some argues that water pollution
and pollution such as noise pollution, air pollution truly harms biodiversity and ecosystems. The
toxic chemicals can change the water colour and increase the minerals which has impacted badly
on the life in water such as fish and other animals.
To show this truth, graphic animators can use different types of pictures showing real
colours of human beings and dark side of nature both at the same time. They enhanced people to
take initiative and spread messages to improve water quality by not throwing wastage in the
water. By using graphic animation and social media platform people can promote sustainable
living and discuss about problems related to environment (Arefin and Mallik, 2018). By using
these pictures people can share content among friends and relatives. But it is essential to spread
correct information about any particular topic. Be careful in what to share on social media
platforms, because spreading public awareness about environmental issues can also sometimes
backfire. In the recent years people work on campaign via graphic animation posters showing
pictures on end plastic pollution which helps them to understand the affects of plastic pollution
on ecosystem and human being health. Plus, how everyday actions and activities can lessen the
issues. The graphic animation create boost to any topic as it can easily spread awareness or any
message. Mostly kids are attracted towards the pictures and characters such as cartoon characters
used in animation become the hot of the town. In today's world full of digital platform, animated
videos, short films, movies, photographers are getting success in different types of sectors
(Amali, Zees and Suhada, 2020). Plus, it educates the audience through entertainment and also
animation has the ability to transfer feelings, ideas, thoughts and emotion efficiently.
Nowadays, with the help of social media people are getting pictures and videos of marine
dumping, radioactive waste, toxic chemicals coming out of industries, usage of chemicals in
agriculture field. By seeing these videos and picture people can easily get idea about dark side of

environmental issues (Amali, Zees and Suhada, 2020). Many organizations have established
various marketing campaigns in order to spread awareness about water pollution and pollution
causes and promote it via social media and graphic animation. By doing, so they educate and
raise awareness among people so that they can see how human beings are putting beauty of
nature into risk by taking part in harmful activities. In the world full of innovation, new
technology and digitalization, many people are taking initiative to educate people about truth
behind environmental problems. With the help of graphic animation the content creators use real
life examples and link it with issues to encourage people to take initiatives towards their
responsibilities related to nature. Graphic animation is a variation of stop motion which consist
of the animation of photos and other material such as magazine clippings and use of newspaper
(Amali, Zees and Suhada, 2020). Therefore, the development of the interactive graphic is to
educate people and spread awareness about the correct ways to handle environmental issues.
This is because environment is facing a lot of issues, but we do not know the correct way to
manage such harmful situation.

An interactive graphic animation is the best way and easiest way in today's era which is
used as the medium because it is easy to understand in which people can see fact easily. Graphic
animation can attract the attention of viewer and motivate them. As we all know that water
pollution can be increased by activities done by public, they are responsible for water pollution
(Hapsari and Hanif, 2019). According to survey taken with the help of united nations, almost
80% of the wastewater goes back in the environment without being reused which can cause
water pollution and develop harmful diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera and many more. So, to
educate people about this, content creators use graphic animation and photographs and upload it
on social media platform.

The above mentioned pictures are illustrations of water pollution, in the first image an
adult children's are collecting garbage and wastage products to clean surrounding area of water
and in the second image an adult child is throwing wastage into water (Hanif, 2020). In this way
content creator use graphic animation to educate people by showing them differences.
