This report explores the impact of grief theory and coping mechanisms in the case study of Paul and Douglas. It discusses the Kübler-Ross model and its application to understand the emotional impact of a possible move to Scotland. It also identifies and analyzes three coping strategies that Paul can use to deal with the situation. The strategies include appraisal-focused thinking, solution-focused coping, and emotional-focused coping. By implementing these strategies, Paul can overcome emotional loss and adapt to the change.
