Introduction
The university of Alaska-Fairbanks is considered as a public institution which was established in
1917 with the sole motive of imparting necessary child care services. It is considered the best
university in the US. UAF have various daycare which is known as the Bunnell House Early
Childhood Lab School. In this paper, we will study about the grants available for the University
of Fairbanks in Alaska to have a daycare on campus or utilize the daycares in Fairbanks. Grants
are necessary for the university to reduce the high cost of child care for faculty, students and the
staff members working with the organization. Reductions in the cost of imparting child care
services will necessary introduce the new way of child care and manage them. Bunnell House
Child Care School partners with Open Arms Child Development Center to send children when
they are full. On the other hand, Fairbanks, Alaska also has more than 20 licensed child care
offices where they care the child ranging from 6 weeks to school age before and after care. Due
to the less profit, sometimes faculty of the staff also has to use such places which are not licensed
and out of their authority. With the help of effective and sufficient grants, the university able to
implement day-care centers effectively and can also able to give discounts to low-income
students who can’t afford it.
Grants resources available for day care students
UAF has started a large number of grants programs to promote literacy, physical activity, and
nutrition at preschools. It provides a huge amount of its income for grants. The main motive of
the institution behind giving grant is to promote food gardens, playgrounds, outdoor classrooms
and necessary facilities (Barrera, 2016). Daycare students have a large number of grants

opportunities if they meet the eligibility criteria. It can be said that Daycare students can help the
UAF in gaining the grant from different sources. They can motivate the child care access
parent’s school to give grants to the university. By doing this, they can successfully get a
resource for their own study. Another grant source from where they can get a grant for the
university so that it can invest a huge fund on the education and care of day care students. Apart
of this, daycare students can help the university in gaining grants from the community college
students. With the help of this, they can successfully able to gain a huge fund for their own study
and the care of the small child. The first and the foremost grant resources for the day care users
is International Non-Profits for girls and women in developing country. In order to promote the
girl care and education, the university takes an efficient step. It provides grants ranging from
$35,000 to $50,000 to girls of USA, and Canada. This will do to support grassroots efforts to
empower girls and women in developing countries. Grant will help the girl child to grow and do
something new and successful in her future.
Another grant resource for UAF is child care access parents in the school program. It is another
important grant received by the UAF to day agencies and schools for the growth and care of the
child. These parent school and social agencies offer grants to the university to spends on their
child care programs and education. This grant is mainly given for flexible support like
partnerships, projects, programs, and general operating support.
The third and the important grant UAF can receive grants from child care resources for
community college students. As per this grant, the university can receive a grant of $15,000 from
non-profits schools and agencies. This grant can further use to purchase playground and
necessary equipment for the entertainment and physical activity of the children. According to

organizations who focuses more on special needs and low-income population child (Graham,
2016). In the same manner, UAF engaged in this activity and suitably can receive that grant
amount from the community college. The UAF want to receive that grant for its main purpose of
day care activities promotion and imparting good and efficient education and growth facilities to
needed person. Apart of all these, UAF can also receive a grant for the help of students and
children suffering from the disaster and any other natural problem. Thus, it can be said that UAF
needs to take a large number of initiatives for the daycare students. Availability of different grant
resources helps poor people in the growth of their children and gets the necessary help.
Grants resources available for Faculty and Staff
UAF do not only receive grants for the day care students but also requires a large number of
grant facilities to its faculty and staff members. UAF need to do this to promote the interest and
education of the Faculty and staff members so that they can give their precious time for the
necessary care of day care students. The first grant that it can receive from the parent school in
favor of the faculty and staff members. This grant is required to enforce educators to implement
the facilities of the creative and smart classroom projects. For this purpose, grant department of
the parent school provides $27,000 to full-time k-12 educators and teachers and faculty members
to support creative and smart project classrooms throughout the country (Izumi, 2015). ON the
other hand, it can be said that UAF will receive the funding as per the direct costing of the
project and smart facility.
The second and the important grant that UAF receives for the teachers are Prize to a USA
professor and teacher to bring and introduce new technology into the Classroom. According to
this grant scheme, the university receives prize value of $1,000 in favor of faculty members for

the introduction of the new teaching methodology for teaching the day care students. With the
help of this price money, the university can purchase new technological education equipment and
supplies to increase the advance learning. Teachers and the applicants can get utilize this fund
from the university by submitting a video or written essay explaining about its organization and
working. By doing, this teacher of an organization can get $1,000 for managing the technology
in their organizations. Another important grant that UAF can receive for faculty and staff is the
price money to Alaska Classroom teacher for outstanding contributions to education. According
to this grant, the university can receive a grant for awarding Alaska teachers or faculty members
for their excellent contribution to the education and care of the day care students. This award
money goes to their teaching and managing excellence and quality of their work in student’s
education (Howell, 2016). The main motive behind a collection of this grant money is to give
popularity to teachers and derive a huge satisfaction to them so that they can utilize their huge
skills in performing their roles and responsibilities. Thus, it can be said that UAF takes a large
number of initiatives to receive a grant in favor of teachers. These grant enough for the
motivation of teachers or faculty members along with the promotion of education among the
parents. This will enhance its popularity and image in the mind of individuals.
Recommendations
It can be said that UAF takes a large number of initiatives towards the education and the better
care of needed child. On the basis of its working, it can be recommended to the organization that
it needs to come up with a large number of management functions. This will helps the University
grant department to record their debit and credit grant transactions effectively. On the other hand,
it also needs to take an evaluation team to check the functioning of the non-profit schools and

institutions. This will helps them in collecting necessary data regarding the use of their awarded
money (Saito, 2015). It is because sometimes schools and institutions invest the grant money for
their personal benefit rather than professional. This initiative of the schools is not able to impart
good care and facilities to students. Evaluation team effectively evaluates the way of using
awarded money. By doing all this, UAF can significantly contribute its efforts for the care of
students and child.
Conclusion
After studying the grant schemes of UAF for students and the faculty members, it can be
concluded that UAF is performing the huge effort in the direction of giving efficient facilities to
students and teachers. The overall analysis of the paper said that UAF is good and earning
sufficient in its life and also manages its functions appropriately. But one thing that it needs to
focus more is the evaluation of the grant money. With the help of innovation it able to measure
its initiative in the direction of child care facilities.
