Goal
The goal which I intent to
achieve in a duration of 12
month is to secure a
profile of digital marketing
executive at Amazon.
Reality
In reality I am completing
my Masters in Business
administration, hence
have opened up myself to
look into the future.
Options
I could enrol myself into
leadership program as well as
other training programs to acquire
skill set to achieve my goal.
Will
I will create an action plan to achieve
the goal and to overcome any obstacle
in the way of goal. A systematic plan of
action will help me in accomplishing
the goal in a duration of 12 months.
Goal Setting Theory
Goal setting theory was propounded
by Edwin Locke in the early 1960s.
Goals indicate and give directions to
an employee on what exactly needs
to be done and the amount of time
and effort required to achieve that
goal.
Goal Setting-How to use it in real life
The goals have to be
extremely clear and
specific to lead to a
better performance.
The goal has to be
challenging and realistic so
that the person can derive
a sense of pride and
triumph from attaining
that Specific goal
Timeline
It is extremely important to
attach a timeline with the
mentioned or created goal.
Attaching timeline gives a
focussed approach to the
goal achievement.
