INTRODUCTION
Operations management is considered as key approach which helps and supports a
business entity and its key functions. The application of operations management is helpful in
developing key quality products and also supports an organisation in optimum utilisation of
resources. In the era of stiff competition between different companies, it is crucial for an
organisation to take support and assistance of operations management for overall development.
In this project example of Tesco company is taken into consideration for better understanding
key aspects of operations management. The Tesco company is a major international British retail
company which is based in London, United Kingdom. The company was founded in the year
1919 and is known worldwide for its world class retail products and services. This report will
cover key ways in which operations management helps an organisation to develop systematic
approach at the marketplace. This project includes two major management approaches which
can help the organisation to develop growth opportunities.

TASK
The way operations management support the business aims and objective of your organisation
Operations management means those perspectives which is based upon seeking
possibility as per various operations within an organization. These operations are related with
converting materials and labour with goods and services which leads upon maximizing profit
within an organization. These operations within management is related over managing of
administrative work which is related to business practices that creates highest efficiency within
the organization(Malhotra, 2020). Operations management is based upon converting materials
into goods and services that is been sold by organization within particular market. Through
corporate operations management the employees working is enhanced through overall
development. These operations helps in embedding professionalism in terms of elements that are
used within task accomplishment. Operations management deals with enhancing aims and
objectives of Tesco by paving path which is based upon vision and mission of Tesco. Through
applying management within operations of Tesco its is able to achieve its aims like employees
and consumer satisfaction. Also, in terms of objectives Tesco is able to manage demand and
needs of customers by collecting data over it. Management operations are used by Tesco for
developing better opportunities which leads towards achieving aims of profit and revenue
generation(Lee and Lin, 2021). Operation management leads towards achieving of strategic
objectives which makes business organization like Tesco work upon upon marketing strategies
and issues related to it. It is used for determining size of manufacturing plants and projects
management methods which makes structure developed as per aims and objectives of Tesco.
Information technology networks is an important part of management operations which makes
aims oriented approach developed by emancipating communication which makes tasks
accomplished more effectively. Tesco is able deals with operational issue that makes
management improved at inventory level which leads towards making work processed at initial
level. Tesco is able to manage raw materials acquisition, quality control, materials handling, and
maintenance policies that helps in achieving aims and objectives in faster manner. Operations
management of Tesco helps in developing objectives and aims by focusing upon certain
elements which are discussed as follows:
