Hand hygiene intervention reciprocates through regular washing of hands by a soap solution, alcohol-based hand rub, and water for minimizing the risk of cross-contamination or infection inside the hospital setting. Accordingly, the promotion of hand hygiene measures in the child development center is based on the following ideas. 1.The configuration of videotapes will prove to be an innovative measure to promote the adoption of hand hygiene practice. The creation of videotapes will require developing a cartoon series to improve kids’ understanding of hand hygiene measures. The development of meaningful cartoon-based short films will require incorporating step-by-step hand hygiene instructions in easy to understand English and Arabic languages.Thecartoonfilmswillbeginwiththeinteractionbetweenvarious characters emphasizing hand washing necessity for health improvement and speedy recovery. The short videos will systematically demonstrate the soap application, hand rubbing, and washing techniques to ascertain the elimination of infectious microbes from the hand surface. The videos will end with a meaningful note indicating the significance of clean hands in improving the clinical practice environment and reducing the prevalence of hospital-acquired infections. 2.The development of colorful hand hygiene posters for kids (i.e. patients), caretakers, clinicians, and nurses, patients will greatly inspire them to follow the standardized hand rubbing and washing interventions for improving their health-related quality of life. The posters will rationally indicate the surfaces of fingers, palms, wrists, back of hands, andfingerspacesrequiringthoroughcleansingandrubbingthrough disinfectant and water to establish a clean and safe environment inside the child development center. The colorful presentation of germs over the unwashed hands will prompt the stakeholders to take actively follow hand hygiene measures before and after undertaking their day-to-day activities including eating, sneezing, toileting, playing, and patient handling. Eventually, the posters will empower all stakeholders to establish their hand hygiene zones while complying with the recommended hand cleansing practices.
