Clinical manifestations
Mrs J has symptoms like fever, productive cough, nausea, malaise, anxiety, breathing
problems, unable to eat or drink herself. She also has low oxygen saturation rates, irregular heart
rate, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary crackles, vein dissentions, and faint.

Interventions
Enalapril is the drug used to address the high blood pressure issues, and to treat the
congestive heart failure. Therefore this intervention (drug) is the appropriate as it works on the
renin angiotensin adolescents system which regulates the blood pressure and the fluid and
electrolyte balance in the body (McMurray et al., 2016).
Furosemide is diuretic that will work on the patient’s kidney to eventually increase the
water loss from Mrs J’s body. It is the most frequently used drug form edema secondary to other
different clinical conditions like CHF exacerbation, liver failure, renal failure, and high BP. This
drug can help Mrs J with COPD (de Denus et al., 2017).
Metoprolol is the selective beta blocker usually works as the succinct and tartrate
derivatives to treat angina and hypertension which is diagnosed in Mrs J’s case. It also reduces
the risk of death or need of hospitalization for heart failure (Chen, Lian & Juying, 2018).
