• Interested in dark and mysterious
objects.
• Stole objects and harmed pets

• It refers to the control of the motor
skills (Hinkley et al., 2014).
• The process starts from human
infancy and continues till adulthood.
• Tom Riddle did not receive the love
and care of his parents.
• He had a normal physical
development however, he split his
soul to achieve immortality.

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
• Development of the brain and other
related processes (Carson et al., 2016).
• Tom was a brilliant student.
• Interested in mysterious objects.
• Desire to be different from others.
• Abused his power.
• Split his soul into seven parts and hid
them in objects of importance.

• An interactive environment aids in a

• Tom Riddle hardly interacted with any
child in the orphanage.
• He was lonely and harmed the children
and the pets in the orphanage.

• Tom Riddle abused his intelligence into creating devastating
materials that affected the whole wizarding world.
• His brilliant mind could have been used into the welfare of
the wizard community.
• His loneliness and mischievous mind created problems with
himself and others.
• Developed narcissistic tendencies.

CONCLUSION
• The physical, cognitive and social
development is important for proper
functioning of a child.
• Tom Riddle did not receive any proper
care that his parents could have
provided.
• Abused his brilliant mind and power into
doing unspeakable things.
• His love for power led him to his
