It will focus on implementing and undertaking aneffective risk assessment measure in order to identify the occurrence of potential risk within theworkplace along with the steps required to overcome such challenges in order to providecomplete safety to its individual employees along with its concerned patients.

INTRODUCTIONHealth and safety is one of the most important and crucial aspects within the workplace.This aspect tends the company to prevent the occurrence of accident within its organizationalstructure and helps to safeguard the interest and harm of its employees and patients. Also, thehealth and social care industries are showing a rapid increase in the present scenario and arehighly required to attain strong compliance with the legal and regulatory framework. With thiscontext, the present report will highlight the crucial aspects of health and social care in the HSCindustry. The report will focus on developing an effective risk assessment strategy to make theindividual of HSC aware about the safety, security and health legislation. TASK 2Risk assessment report2.1 Significance of risk assessment in informing planning for care of patients/ clientsRisk assessment is a systematic procedure of analysing and examining the extent of riskwhich can occur within health and social care (HSC) workplace. It therefore becomes importantfor every HSC to clearly identify the major reasons which may give rise to the occurrence ofaccidents within its workplace (Munn-Giddings and Winter, 2013). It becomes the crucialresponsibility of the said industry to clearly asses the risk involvement and providing itsinformation to its staff in order to remain protective. In each and every HSC, the role of riskassessment is of utmost important. It helps such industries to identify the extent of potential riskthat can take place within its workplace along with determining appropriate and relevantmeasures that could be implemented in order to deal with such challenges. With regard to thiscontext, risk assessment proves to be an effective technique to significantly identify the variousprinciples related to care planning for individual which helps them to overcome with their majorhealth issues. By undertaking the risk assessment process, necessary information can be attainedwith regard to the critical illness which are causing serious thereat to individual's life (Aveyard,2014). For example, if a person suffers from mental illness and stress, usually they don't possessproper understanding and knowledge of such illness and its hazardous impact on person's health.Therefore, in such cases, relevant and essential information is gathered regarding the healthconditions of that particular person by implementing the risk assessment matrix in order torender the patient with best care services and facilities. It also involves rendering the industry with effective protective measure toovercome the occurrence of such serious risk. This allows the managers of HSC to provideeffective safety and best care facilities to its patients. Apart from this, the risk assessment technique also allows HSC to gain relevantinformation regarding the risk appetite and thereby allowing it to take effective decision for itscare home services (Reeves And et.al., 2011.). The key areas where the risk assessment toolhelps the concerned industry in its planning for care of patients and clients involves thefollowing aspects-The risk assessment technique allows HSC to gain relevant and necessary informationregarding the occurrence of potential risk within its workplace. Further, such informationcan be effectively used by its managers in their problem solving and decision makingapproach in order to render its patients with impressive solutions to deal and overcomewith such problem.
