INTRODUCTIONHealth and safety is a right of an individual so companies have to follow some oflegislative rules. Through this, they can enhance the satisfaction of all the people who are usingthe services of particular firm. The care centres have to develop some of the standards so thatthey can ensure smooth functioning at their workplace. On the basis of these, they will be able toprovide quality services to their service users (Tombs and Whyte, 2013). They have to adoptsome of the technological advancements so that people will be able to get the innovativeservices. The present report is based on Fleet wood Hall Home Case Study which perform theiroperations in health and social care organisations. They are focusing on their services so thatthey will be able to create a strong base of the consumers. In this context, report explains thathow policies and procedures are implemented at the workplace. Along with this, it focuses on theways through which health and social care organisations offer quality services to their end users.The effectiveness of the policies and procedures are explains in the further report. TASK 11.1 Review systems, policies and procedures to ensure that information on health and safety isproperly communicatedThe new director of the health and social care implement some of the policies andprocedures so that they can ensure the smooth functioning at their workplace. Health is anessential factor for an individual and for this higher authority make some laws and acts. Somelaws are as follows:Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995: Thisact is made by the sate government of the country in order to regulate all the data that is related

to the injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences (Centers for Disease Control, 2013). Whensuch incident happened then the care centre have to deal them in an efficient manner. Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002: It is related to the hazardous activitiesthat can be occurred due to some substances and other nanomaterial factors. It is theresponsibility of higher authority to take care of the healthy and safety practices at theworkplace. So, this law should be followed by care centre so that employees health can beimproved. Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992: This act is based on some of thepractices that are performed at the workplace so that all workers will be able to get somebenefits. This explains that how overall risk can be reduced by manually handling the operations.Mental Health Act 2007: This act is made by the state government of UK. On the basis of this, health and social careorganisation can enhance the safeguarding of the patients so that they will be able to get thequality treatment (Nielsen, 2014). Health and Safety Regulations 1981: This act is based on the all first aid activities thatare provided by the care workers. It is necessary for all people that they should know about thefirst aid treatment. For this, proper training should be given to the employees so that theirknowledge can be enhanced. There are different types of communication practices that has to be performed by thehigher authority so that they can effectively communicate with their staff members in the healthand social care. These practices are as follows: Verbal: In this type of communication method, the care centre communicate with theirservice provider through word of mouth, training, reporting and appraisal. In the trainingsession, the superiors can explains the different kinds of hazardous activities and how todeal with them in an effective manner (Hughes and Ferrett, 2012). Here, they can usecontrol of substances hazardous act. Written: The care centre of Fleetwood can communicate with their all staff membersthrough emails, memos, letter writing and notice board. Graphic: In this type of approach, the care centre can communicate with their workersthrough signs, poster and DVD's. Here, superiors can explains to their service providersthat how they can handle the different kinds of operations manually.
