INTRODUCTION
The health and the social care plays a very crucial and important role in the management
of various sort of operations in the society. The social well being helps the individual and the
group of people to take the suitable measures in order to gain a better productivity that helps in a
better share of market (Adler and et.al., 2015). For the report, we have taken Acacia care home
as health and social care (HSC) organisation of context. This organisation works in the better
development of the health and social care services in UK. This report focuses on the various
systems, policies and procedures for communicating the information of various legislative
measure with the priorities. The dilemmas encountered are been considered and are taken in
consideration for better understanding of effects of various measures on health and social care
(Blais, 2015).
TASK 1
a) Identify the systems, policies and procedures for communicating information with legislative
requirements.(1.1)
Various systems, policies and procedures are been used in the health and social care
centre for communication of the various legislative measures at the work place. This helps the
cited firm to identify and implement the suitable measures to develop a better health and safety
measures at the workplace (Carayon, 2015). Some major legislative measures that are been taken
into the consideration by the sub committee of senior management are:
 Disability Act 2005: It is the legislative measure that is been taken into the consideration
by the cited firm in order top gain a better idea of the health and safety measures that are
been followed and implemented in order to provide better services to the general as well
as the public with disabilities.
 Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974: This legislative measure will help the cited
firm to take the suitable measures to improve the quality of the work environment at the
workplace (Carpenter and et.al., 2017). This will ensure the better implementation of the
various safety measures at the workplace, thus causing the improvement in the working
conditions.
Based on this, various policies and procedures of Risk assessments are been taken into
the consideration by the organisation in order to implement better safety and health measures
such as adoption of various safety measures at workplace, improvement in the working

conditions of the cited firm and meeting the requirements of the people and the employee's in the
cited firm. The top management of the firm will look after the better handling of various legal
measures in the cited firm while the working staff will act upon its effective implementation. The
support staff, including manager and logistics, will provide essential help for the implementation
of these measures.
b) Legal responsibilities of the management(1.2)
The cited firm will have the various sort of legal responsibilities that the firm has to carry
out in order to gain a better productivity and maintaining the health and safety measures in the
organisation (Glasby, 2017). These laws are been undertaken by the organisation in order to gain
a better share of the organisation to gain a better share of market and improve the quality of
services in the organisation. The legal responsibilities of the HSC under the Health and Safety at
Work etc Act 1974 are as follows:
 To develop a safe and better health care services that helps the organisation to gain a
better productivity and profitability.
 Reduce the risk factors that helps the organisation to gain a better work condition to
improve the work quality of the employee's in the organisation.
 Identify the risk factors that can affect the overall functionality and profitability of the
company as well as the well being and safety of the employee's at the cited firm (Goh and
et.al., 2015).
 To provide the employees with the suitable and appropriate health measures to improve
their work efficiency and well being.
 Besides this, the employer firm has to make the regular checking of the various measures
that helps the company to gain a better idea of the safety measures the company should
take in order to improve the safety measures at workplace (Hanson and et.al., 2015).
Besides this, the employer will coordinate with various employee's beneficiary
organisation and trade unions to get a better idea of the various sort of health and safety
measures that are been taken by the company.
c) health and safety priorities(1.3)
According to the functionalities, the HSC will have various priorities that will help the
organisation to gain a better idea about the operations to maintain the safety and safeguarding the
employee's. The prioritisation helps the cited organisation to get a better idea about meeting the

needs and the requirements of the people and tackle their problems or any sort of issues that are
been faced by the people in regard to health and social care. Some major priorities that are been
taken by the cited firm is:
 Addressing the various sort of the fundraising activities in order to carry out the
functionalities of the organisation (Hutchinson and Jackson, 2015).
 Conducting the better review of the various measures of the health and social care that
are been and will be carried out by the HSC for the better health and safety of the people.
 Review the various sort of problems or the issues that are been faced by the organisation
in order to remove them to gain a better productivity and profitability and meet the
targets of the company (Jeffreys, 2015).
 To tackle the increase in the number of patients with mental and physical health problems
that causes the disturbance in the better running of the operations of the company.
 Adopting and implementing the suitable measures of health and social care that will lay
an impact on the overall operations of the sited organisation and affect the well being of
the people in the society (Morken, Johansen and Alsaker, 2015).
 Support and motivate the development of better and effective measures of the health and
social care that helps the organisation and the general people to opt for the better
management of the various issues that are been faced by the organisation.
This prioritisation of the various issues helps the company to gain a better productivity
that helps the organisation to gain a better share of market, implement and adopt the better health
and safety measures and meet the requirements of the people or the clients to gain better
productivity (Phillips, 2016).

Evaluation of the contribution in placing the health and safety needs of individuals in the

As a health and social care officer at HSC, it will be my duty to look after the effective
implementation of the various operations that will help in the better execution of the operations
that are been taken into the consideration by the company to meet the health and safety needs of
the individual employee's and the customers (Terry and et.al., 2015). For this, I will carry out a

detailed evaluation of the various safety and health care measures that are been taken into the
consideration by the company. From the evaluation it can be said that the effective and the
suitable implementation of the various operations at the work place.
Besides this, various legal acts such as Disability Act 2005 and the Health and Safety at
the Work etc Act 1974 will help the organisation to meet the health and safety requirements of
the employers and employee's in a better way. Other than this, such approaches helps the
organisation to tackle various sort of factors or dilemmas to carry out the smooth functioning and
execution of the operations by the cited firm (Carpenter and et.al., 2017). Also, the various
implication's that occur due to failure of the proper legal measure at the organisation and its
consequences are been found to avoid any sort of glitch in the implementation of health care and
safety measure.
Besides this, on the other hand, the non compliance with the health and legal obligations
will lay a very deep and crucial impact as it act as the major barrier for the health and social care
services. The cited firm has to look after the effective following of the laws or acts that are been
developed for the effective maintenance of health and social care practices. Besides this, the
keeping a check on the following of the policies and safety measures that are been followed by
the health care firm.
CONCLUSION
Thus, from the report this can be concluded that health care and safety measures are very
necessary for the better functioning of organisation. The report focused on the various systems,
policies and procedures for communicating the information of various legislative measure with
the priorities of health and social care services. The dilemmas encountered are been considered
and are taken into consideration for better understanding of effects of various measures on health
