Introduction
 Northfolk Nursing Home is a care centre where efficient
health and social care services are provided to people with
different requirements.
 Care Quality Commission is the governing body that
devises and formulates rules and regulations for health
and social care organisations to follow.

1.1 Review of systems, policies and procedure
 The policy implemented by Care Quality Commission in
Northfolk Nursing Home is Health and Safety at Work Act
1974.
The basic requirements of this legislation include:
 Working environment and main plant should be secure in
operation.

 Usage and storage of dangerous substances should be
secure and well handled.
 Specialised training must be provided to staff members
for ensuring health and safety.
 Proper facilitation of service users in terms of welfare
provided by staff members at workplace.
