INTRODUCTIONHealth care homes provide their functions for the protection of health of patients whichare suffering from different diseases. It is a duty of management to take care of the health andsafety of all employees at workplace. To provide adequate safety to their employees, need toimplement different health and safety legislations. Different legislation which are needed to bemonitored on continuous basis are Health and Safety Work Act 1974, management of Health andSafety Regulations 1999, etc. It provides an opportunity regarding minimisation of the risks andincident of injuries as well as ensure safety of staff members. White chapel Residential carehome is working in East London that is being selected for the present study. In the present report, legislative requirements which are communicating informationregarding health and safety, responsibilities of care home respect management of well-being andsafety, importance of risk assessment to enhance decision making about policies and procedures,impact of wellness and safety policy on its customers as well as impact of non-compliance ofhealth and safety legislations will be explained. Also, effectiveness of health and safety policiesin providence of positive and safe culture will be discussed.

TASK 11.1 Review systems, policies and procedures for communicating information on Health andSafety in the Health and Social Care workplaceWhite chapel Residential care home provides their services in East London. The main aimof its management is to implement Health and Safety workplace policies to minimise the risksand incidents of injuries and death. In this regard, a large number of legislations are provided bygovernment which provides information about safety measures that are needed to be adopted bythe care homes. The information which is communicated by such different legislations isdefined as below:Health and Safety at work Act 1974: This legislation is provided by government ofUK which brings obligation upon employers to take care about health of all employees. Thisact covers a wide range of issues related to workplace health and safety. The management ofWhite Chapel Residential care home needs to adopt all safety measures which are necessary toprotect the health of staff members and medical practitioners working in care home.Management of Health and Safety at work Regulations 1999: This act provides anobligation upon the manager of care homes that needs to identify risks which are associatedwith their workings. It is the responsibility of management to adopt all safety measures, provideclear information regarding emergency procedures and provide adequate training to their staffmembers which improve their skills and performance. Similarly, this will bring an obligationupon employees of care home also. They need to comply all such duties like providing reporton shortcomings in health and safety measures, disbursing information regarding dangeroussituations, taking care of their own health and safety, etc.Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981: This act brings an obligation uponthe management of White chapel Residential Care Home to have appropriate equipment andfacilities of first aid which provides an opportunity to the employees and staff members to takeimmediate actions if they got injured at workplace.Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995: Thislaw provides that it is the duty of the employer and management to keep proper record of theincidents which are happen at workplace. They also have the legal liability regarding reportingof all such incidents whether small or large in nature through online reporting system by HSE
