INTRODUCTION
Health and safety regulation within United Kingdom are those which is guiding the safety
and health of employees or workers who are been working at any organisation which was
regulated in year 1974. In this, current reflective essay there will be discussion about how
policies and procedures would be monitored and reviewed while working. It will also be
reflecting upon awareness of health, safety and security legislation and my role into workplace
setting.
TASK 3
3.1 Explain how Health and safety policies and practices are monitored and reviewed
Health and safety policies or practice would very important to be monitored or review
them so that it could be easy for company or organisation that they are maintaining all practice
within their workplace. This procedure of reviewing or monitoring of the health and safety
would be taking much amount of time or efforts of organisations but this would be highly
importance for company towards the end (Health and Safety is Monitoring and Review, 2018).
As number of benefits of this monitoring and reviewing of health and safety policies is helping
me to reduce accidents and injuries and then number of absenteeism is also reduced with its
introduction. There is a specified process of this monitoring which is helping organisation to
reduced accidents and adds value to business and identifying problems as well. ButHowever, this
would be depending upon type and size of company which could be including many elements
like that of checking that whether all important information is been identified or not.
This must also be including that training must be given to all employees and staff
members in order to allow them learning about all health and safety related issues (Underhill and
Quinlan, 2011). On the same time I could also be doing routine inspection or audits related to the
control of risk, equipment and process which is helping organisation to know health and safety
policies must be worked upon. While the review process is involving that whether all health and
safety systems should be in aligned with protection of health of employee and risk controlling as
well. This review of process and policies must be done at least once a year which is including
both formal and an informal review which is that of premises so that I could be able to collect all
specified information.

3.2 Analyse the Effectiveness of health and safety policies and practices in the workplace in
promoting a positive health and safety culture
All the rules and procedures should be reviewed and monitored so that it could be
identified that whether process or policy which are all laid down are effective for workplace
health safety or not (Eichener, 2015). As it is quite important that organisation is been applying
those policies which is good and better for them and this would be ensuring safety and security
of employees within organisation. It would be important for all employees within organisation
including me that we are following or adhering to policy and procedures so that there is no
breach and legal liabilities are not involved. In order to analysing the effectiveness of health and
safety policies and practice into workplace which would be also promoting positive and safe
culture and health.
This could be done after some merits or advantages are identified likeas that company is
been obligating business and health or safety. There are managers who are taking take up
responsibilities related to safety, recording of accidents and then communicating communicate
these things to workers. If the staff members of company is able to identify all related risks and
accidental hazards and then communicating it to higher levelhigher-level management (Bellaby,
2017). All these are positive signs of promotion of positive health and safety culture within my
workplace. Other than this, effectiveness of policy and procedure would be analysed by:
Company offering training related to policy and procedure
Safer surrounding for patients
Promoting protection into work place
Having suitable locations
All policy, practice and procedure are been continuously revised.
3.3 Evaluate Oown contribution to place thein health and safety needs of individuals at the
Centre of practice
At the time when company is setting up health and safety policies or measuring them it
becomes important for them to look forward desired personal goal of employees as well. These
needs and demands would be including like that of physical, social, emotional and intellectual so
that they are been able to build up link with improvement. SoTherefore, health and safety needs
of individuals must be kept at priority while company is addressing the social safety needs and
demands.

ButHowever, at the starting they are to follow all legislations and rules so that they are
building up strong environment of working in safe workplace. As per Health and Safety Care Act
which is helping all service workers to meet up all demand and need ofhave staff which would
be based on assessment of task.
Then this becomes vital that all need of individuals is kept in front at time when it comes
to health and safety need have company (Maleki, Darvishi and Moradi, 2015). This could be
clearly defined with use of Gibbs reflective cycle likeas I need to describe the whole event,
feelings related to event both of mine and others,others, and mine evaluating situation or
condition, analysing what could be done at that time and then concluding for future events. Thus
helping me to understand what I could contribute in rendering my services during health and
social care settings. This is also duty of health and social care workers that they are maintaining
clarity into what role they have to play and how this could be impacting daily practice.
CONCLUSION
From the above part, it could be concluded that there are many methods and procedures
which is helping health and social care to monitore and review all tasks and policy policies
related to health and safetyit. If there is less number of accidents and incident then it could be
judged that working is done very effectively as per the set targets.
