Reflective Model Used in Health and Social Care Organization In the health and social care organization different tools and models are used for the reflection process. Some of most common models that are used for reflection process areKolb reflective cycle and Schon Model. Kolb reflective cycle Kolb reflective cycle is known as experimental learning. The basis of this model is self experience that is gained by an individual person which is reviewed, analysed and evaluated later. This model is consists of a cycle that is consists of Concrete experience, Reflective Observation, Abstract conceptualization and Active experimentation(Morris, T.H., 2019). Concrete experience-In this stage includes the description of the particular situation and personal Reflective Observation-In this stage deep explanation of the particular experience is presented in form of reflection. Abstract conceptualization-This stage is based on different questions that are used for providing guidance to deal with situation. Active experimentation-At this stage newly acquired knowledge is explained in the reflective way. This is how Colb Reflective model can be used for providing reflection in health and social care organization Schon Model According to this model there are two type of reflections are there which are for two conditions. First reflection is for during the actions and other one is about after the action(Wain, A., 2017). From the table below both type of reflection can be easily represented. Reflection in actionReflection on action ExperienceThinking about something is happened. Thinking on the feetThinking about next time what approach will be used. Thinking about what to do nextTaking the time. Acting straight way 1
This is how the Schon model of reflection can be used for different activity in the health and social care organization for reflection. 2
