Introduction
Health education can be termed as the learning experience about any kind of disease that is
occurred among the people. The health education programme is designed to help individuals
to improve their health by obtaining knowledge in the context of different diseases that can
be suffered by human beings. In other words, it can be termed as the professional to educate
the people about health and different diseases they are suffered from. With the help of health
education, it helps the people to get knowledge in term of physical, mental, as well as social
health. It encourages the people to enhance and maintain their health prevent from disease as
well as minimize the risky behavior (Vichealth, 2018). Moreover, health education not only
teaches about content knowledge but it also teaches skills regarding decision-making,
problem-solving, communication negotiation and advocacy skills.
In other words, it can be defined as the principle that helps the group of people to learn to
behave in an appropriate manner in terms of promotion, maintenance, as well as health
restoration. In addition, Health education is defined by “World Health Organization” that
consists of opportunities that include communication form to enhance health literacy, as well
as include enhancement of knowledge. It also helps in developing skills of life that are
favorable to community health and individual (Kuyken et al., 2013). It also depicts that all the

countries conduct different health education programmes to help people to gain knowledge
for different diseases (Heart Foundation, 2018).
The aim of the report is to analyze critically local health education intervention. For this
report, “Community-based interventions” is selected as it is helpful in preventing obesity
from the Australian people”. The report analyzes who is targeted and provide reason they are
recruited for intervention. It also determines practical processes that led to planning,
resourcing and intervention implementation. The findings are also evaluated by taking into
consideration limitations, success, barriers and opportunities.
