INTRODUCTION
An application which is designed to fulfil the purpose of tracking the health and fitness of an
individual is known as health and fitness application. It aims to make the lifestyle healthier by
assessing and tracking all the activities of an individual like water intake, food intake and
workout pattern (Aanbari and Kwak, 2018). This report is based on the health and fitness app
which is named as ‘Measure Health’. This report will cover the project plan of an application
along with the project scope like design of application social media integration, launch cost, app
customisation and many more. It will include project risk for example cost overrun, design and
compatibility issues, delay in app design, etc. At the and this project will also discuss about the
project success.
MAIN BODY
The project plan
Project plan suggest how an individual or an organisation complete the project in prescribed
time period along with maintaining the quality of the product on different stages with available
resources. It involves organising and mapping of project goals, schedules, task and other
available resources so that organisation can effectively assign role for the execution of plan for
project (Chofreh and et.al., 2019). There are various resources required in order to develop a
Measure health application which includes technical assistance, financial resources, IT
professionals and other tools. At the initial state organisation have to set various measurable
objectives which they have to achieve by designing the particular health and fitness application
for their customers. Next stage comprises of identifying deliverables in which they have to
involve in their app so that they can satisfy the needs of targeted customers. Last stage comes
with scheduling of an app which suggest when an organisation launch their app. Astra Plc uses
Gantt chart for the planning of the project which is shown below:

fitness of an individual along with their nutrition and wellness professional so that customers can
stay updated regarding their intakes. This app also involve various customising features like
screen icon, app theme, individual app bucket listing and weight chart for the customer. Launch

effective method of promoting app (Kerzner, 2022). These platforms help organisation in
reaching to large number of customers in short period of time.
In-app purchase
The concept of in app purchase refers to the buying of products and Services within the
application of a mobile which can include tablet and smartphone. It gives user access to use the
app but may charge some amount for the downloading the application. Measure health
application allow users to sign up or login and provide them subscription which involves
payment of fees for the usage of application after the completion of trial period.
App customization
Astra Plc develops app which is customised according to the users which helps them in
measuring their diet plans and weight management according to their requirements. It can track
and count the foot steps of the users which they can customise according to their potential. It is a
health tool which monitors the activities and progress of an individual including their personal
and customized health features.
Testing of the app
Organisation perform various testing before launching their product in final market such as
user experience, functional testing, performance testing, security testing, device and platform
testing. Testing plays an important role because it evaluate the features and success of the
application which can acquire the market in effective manner.

Launch of the app
Before launching the final application organisation performing market research so that they
can define success of that particular app. Astra Plc check cross platforms and browse different
versions of app for their Measure health app (Obradović, Todorović and Bushuyev, 2018). After
that they create content and launch their app on dedicated site and page according to their
targeted market and register that app in choose app store.
Project risk
Organisations face various risk in launching and developing their customise app for the
targeted customers due to various reasons. Astra Plc also faces various project risk during
developing Measure health app which are mentioned below:
 Cost overrun become a major risk for the organisation because it involves various
unexpected changes in the budget of project which rivers in increasing total cost of the
overall app (Pan and Zhang, 2021). It can happen because of the economic factors,
technical reasons and other in correct data and information gathering in the initial stages.
 There are various other organisations and brands who develop app which also offers
customised features to the targeted market is become a huge risk for Astra Plc. This can
hamper their profitability and reachability in the market because of higher competition.
Project success
The project become successful because it effectively reaches 20k plus download within a
prescribed time limit which is highest achievement for Astra Plc. This app has helped
Organisation in earning higher profitability and cover up all the revenues which incurred during
the development of app (Picciotto, 2020). The customer feedback and reviews are very positive
regarding the Measure health app which is successful factor for the organisation. Finally, the
application achieved it's smart objectives within short period of time of three month after its
launch.
