MAIN BODY
PART 1: Theoretical perspective behind approaches to health and illness
1.1: Two theoretical perspective to health and illness
The sociological perspective is defined as a set of assumptions that define the state of
reality and question which has some rational outcomes. In this, the theoretical perspective can be
understood as through which an individual look to focus or distort what the individual wants to
see it can also occur a frame which serves to both include and exclude the views of something
the field of sociology is also based on the theoretical perspectives and the capability of
assumptions about the social system which is related with the society and the family. It also
states some of the assumptions which are related with the culture, social, structure, and rules
which are followed among the social group with the various individual and this the theoretical

perspective is an important note for the research or to create the perspective of the sociology
which is related with the health and illness is to organize the thoughts and ideas which clear
about the health and illness. More often sociologists use multiple theoretical perspective names
to create various question designs and conduct research to analyze the results. It is also measured
only to understand various circumstances which are associated with the perspective of sociology
but it tends to change from time to time. In this, the two perspectives of health are to be analyzed
to conduct the health and illness perspectives which include functionalist and the interactionist
perspective (Corfee and et. al., 2019).
Functionalist approach:
According to the functionalist perspective, it is well defined that health is a vital form that
provides the stability among the society in the community and therefore sickness is a base that
can create variance among the society. Moreover, the Talcott is used to defined as the term of the
sick rule which state about the pattern of expectations and overall discussions about appropriate
behavior for the sick and those who take care of the sick peoples. In this, they stated about the
various conditions which are associated with the sick person. In this, they use to state that the
sick person has their proper role and responsibilities as per the authentication of rights. However,
the Talcott is used to be discussed from sick and they are must responsible for the better
treatment to overcome from condition probably the sick person has a right to deserving a normal
social role without any factor of discrimination and they not required to fulfill the obligation of
person. Moreover, it can also provide normal responsibilities without any factor which can create
hindrance in the social norms and their ethical viewpoint. Moreover, it is temporary and relative
to the seen variety of the endless. In this, it's required proper legislative factor and doctor which
must certify that there is less is genuine and after that, they used to isolate from the society for
them sometime (Dudina and et. al., 2019).
The responsibility of the sick person is to get well and sea technically help from the
physician to overcome the various situation. As per this, the sick persons stay in longer than the
proper that they get stigmatized. Talcott argues that seen the sick are unable to fulfill their
normal social expectations and wants but they create weakness among the society and
community. Therefore, it is also necessary for the various form of social control to bring the
behavior in the positive attribute towards the sick person because it helped to create a line to get
back with normal expectation. In this model of health, the doctor serves as a gatekeeper deciding
