Effective leadership and its traits are one of the vital or the essential component of the
health care system and furthermore has an extensive range regarding the function for the
improvement or the development of the effectiveness and the quality of the productivity of
the organization. The context of the leadership has the similar features in all the industries of
Australia although the factor of the health specifically has been recognised for its purposes
and the complexity (Hutchinson et al., 2015). The leaders and the nurses and also the
managers of the health care system of the Australian organization strive for the improvement
of the clinical and the quality of the life indicators and furthermore the wellbeing of the
system of the health. According the research the quality of the health leadership has a direct
effect over the quality of the patient care and thus is a very essential factor towards the
support of the best practises. The traits of the leadership and the management in the health
care organizations tends to affect the people (Cooke & Bartram, 2015). Their level of
satisfaction, the trust in the management, their commitment and the effectiveness of the
individual and the team helps in the improvement of the climate and the culture of the
organization. The thesis statement of the assignment highlights on the significant leadership

the health care givers in the workforce are some of the major challenges. The National Health
and Medical Research Council of Australia furthermore faces challenges regrading the
ensurement of the continuous focus over the quality and the safety in some of the inpatient
wards within certain hospitals and lacks the building of the respect and the co-operation

stated issues that has been prevalent within the organization, some of the major issues are the

not for profit health services that includes the aged care, the pathology, the dental clinics, the
GP clients and the mental and the child health care services.
Organizational culture and safety
The concept of culture plays a very important role since it sets the targets of the
associations within the workplace. For the health care organization of discussion, the
strengthening of the safety culture has remained to be one of the biggest challenges that is
faced by the current day’s organizations of health care. According to the reports and the
statistics, it is one of the most necessary challenges that needs to be overcome by the health
care organization for thriving. This is because in the highly demanding environment of the
health care organization, the lives of the people are within the hands of the health care team
and it is thus critical to have some of the high performing teams. According to the research
study by Agarwal et al. (2016) it is essential for the pioneers to value their work within the

There lies various of ways where the skills and the behaviours of the leaders can influence the
organization, the success of the leaders in the health care organization depends on the ability
for helping for shaping and upholding the culture of the organization.
Leadership and management theories
The health care professionals and the nursing leaders play a very essential role in the
health care organization. The leadership management strategies with their skill sets and the
leadership behaviour drastically affect the performance and the influence over the outcomes
of the patient. In the discussed organization, it is thus essential to note that several styles of
the leadership that are generally found in the workplace as well as their impacts on the health
care staffs and those who are under their care (Bismark et al., 2015). This section of the
assignment will highlight the major or key leadership styles that are important and relevant
within the health care organization in discussion for the improvement of quality regrading the
