Recommendations for Increasing Vaccination Rates

Recommendations
a. It is advised that the religious groups be counseled to make them more willing to accept the
new legislation. They can mandate vaccination for children who frequent public places like the
school, park and markets (Groom et al. 2015). Public schools can aim to enroll student who have
all their vaccination needs met.
b. Religious minded people are required to be consulted individually about their fears regarding
immunization. They can then be counselled and made to the significance of immunization. It is
highly likely that they are rejecting the idea of vaccination as an atmosphere of distrust has been
created by deviants by spreading wrong information (Kaufman et al. 2018). A practical
demonstration of vaccination and the process through which it safeguards children can be used to
reconcile divergent stakeholders.
c. Legal risks are involved when in healthcare, the parents and other medical professionals have
a different idea of what care needs to be. Down the line, the parents will impact the care groups
to stop vaccination. The schools and legislators are required to formulate stringent policies to
safeguard citizens from an epidemic. However, they are fearing objecting from religious groups
and parents who provide large sponsors to the school. A strong policy is required that will
enforce the requirement of vaccination.
d. The public schools and other health councils can draw their funds from people who are willing
to vaccinate children. They can also call in businesses from the local tourism industry to fund
their action. They are also required to contact the government sponsored health organization to
allow them a fixed budget to enable them to store vaccines and establish a communication
system with them. The state funded health organizations can also hold promotional events in
schools of Evergreen state where they can provide opportunity for vaccinating children
e. It is highly likely that the religious groups and other parents are going to rebel against the
actions of the health organizations. It would be better to organize a police protection force
around the area on the days when they organize any immunization events. Spokespersons from
health organizations need to be set who are capable to handle the masses.

f. Key stakeholders can write a petition and organize a meeting with the healthcare executive to
have their opinions heard (Oyo‐Ita et al. 2016). As mentioned earlier, the healthcare executives
need to assign a spokesperson who will be consulted by individuals and groups for their
problems.
g. Desired health outcomes require all the stakeholders to work in harmony. It will not be
possible if they are pitted against one another as is the present case (Community Preventive
Services Task Force2015). They need to be persuaded to see the importance of immunization
techniques. For this a counselling session needs to be held where a religious leader needs to be
present who will urge the parents to change their mindset.
h. The legislators and policymakers responsible for looking over the issue are recommended to
concern themselves with the health and safety of children and not the objection of religious
people. It is essential to note that the liberty of certain people to not vaccinate their children will
also endanger the lives of other people. The legislators need to keep an objective frame of mind
and not be swayed by the fear of objection or disapproval.
